Flower ideas for ice blue dresses....

SO I am contemplating making a light almost ice blue for my bridesmaid dresses...my wedding is in the summer right on the water and i want blue to be kind of a theme (i think...) any color ideas for flowers and or ways to accent the dresses so that they dont look too light? Thanks!

You could do anything with pinks or purples or hydrangeas, as an idea!

blue and green hydrangeas with touches of white, like white roses, white wax flowers, white orchids.
Blades of grass poking out of the bo-ks to give some definition.

Pinks and purples with green would also look good, but you mentioned that you want to stay with a blue theme.

I have some blue flower ideas in my album. Not sure about blue roses anymore-one florist said they dye purple ones.? Still not sure what I will be using.

Hmm I'll try and post pics tonight I saved for my best friends wedding-she did blue and white as well. I would say stay away from hydrageas in boquets because she used them and they are sooo fragile. they wilt almost immediately anf turn brown and need constant water so they will have to sue tubes or something. They used bags of water around the stems for her and not only did they look bad, but the water soaked my dress when i accidentally tilted the bouqet walking down the hill TO the ceremony!

I actually saw a bouquet once of mostly white carnations with these little blue flowers and green grass and it was goregous. Carnations are cheap but when bunched together in full bloom they resemble small peonies. White roses are a good choice too but mix them with color. My friend used all white roses and against her wedding dress which was pure white (like paper) they looked yellow and dingy.
