Groomsmen attire question

Hi.

For those whose groomsmen that are wearing ties and vests, are you having them match your BM's dress.

For instance- BM wearing silver, Gm wearing Silver Tie and Vest

Or are you chosing different colors all together?

we are doing totally diferent colors(black - guys, silver - girls), its almost impossible to get an exact match for desses and tuxes. there is a possibility of them looking funny in the pictures if they arent matched perfectly.

Personally, I think that matching the vests to the BM's dresses is a little too HS prom for my tastes. Our guys are doing a subtle platnium vest and tie with the black tux.

My BMs are wearing ivory and sage and I have asked FH to please choose something in the silver/platinum/ivory family - no gold or purple or blue or maroon or anything like that. God only knows what he will come up with.

Dresses were black, groomsmen tuxes were black.

I dont think you have to match but IMO black or white is really the only color appropriate for formal occasions. So if I had red dresses, I would have still chosen black vests/ties for the GMs.

The groomsmen's vests and ties will be in wine the same as the BM's dress. We are still not sure what FH will be wearing. He wants to be a little different. I guess it's his day too! haha!
