bubbles, wedding rice, rose petals, doves, butterflies????

what are you guys doing at the end of the ceremony??

i think i like the rose petals,
and i heard releasing the butterflies is really cool!

Our church said if we have someone to clean up rose petals we can do them. I think we might just do bubbles.

nada - i would do rose petals but my ceremony is inside and at my reception hall, we don't need the clean up!

and my 2 cents, butterflies are great but i was at 2 weddings where they were all nearly dead or dead...i think that's a bad omen...

i have heard horror stories about dead butterflies too---
one person i spoke w/ said she had the best experience w/ that specific company they used-- she couldn't remember the name!!

i would be so upset if they were DOA!!!!

yeah i hear that the butterflies always end up dying, not all of them but when you try to release them half are dead

I've heard some churches don't allow anything!?!? Waiting to make a decision until after we go to pre-cana. I am assuming we will find out all the details then.......

Bubbles are a great idea- rice/birdseeds are really unsafe. My sister & B-I-L got pegged by the seeds in their ears and face by a bunch of teenage cousins. Very strange but true.

This happened at my friends wedding. Most were dead when people opened the box. The ones that are alive are flapping around in the box, so as your ceremony is going on people are holding these boxes that are moving all around...

i would LOVE to do rice - but i doubt the church will let us do that... so probably bird seed it is!
