Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I was interested in having my wedding at Jericho Terrace. I had spoken to someone who had a wedding there and she said that the food was great BUT there were so many other weddings going on that teh lobby looked like a train station. I don't mind other weddings going on at the same time but i dont want it to look so crowded. So i was just wonding if anyone has had any experiences at Jericho's Terrace? Thanks

I have been to a wedding there and did not see any overcrowding in the common areas.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

To be honest with you JT is beautiful but that is the one thing i didnt care too much for when I went to a wedding there. Although the wedding was on an off-peak month I saw about 3 different brides posing for pictures and since they had to be taken indoors sometimes once party was leaving as the other one was coming.
But it really is beautiful though so if you dont mind that possibility i would say go for it

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

i'm getting married at JT next april. things like that don't bother me, but if it does...you can consider having an earlier wedding. that way you can get first dibs at pics and stuff at the hall. you can also take pictures elsewhere...at a local park for exampe. and if that still bothers you, then you may consider finding a hall that only caters to one wedding at a time.

Jericho Terrace is beautiful but I went to a wedding there and there were 3 other weddings going on at the same time. We did interact with people from the other weddings but it wasnt crazy.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

i got married at Jericho Terrace and I can only rave about my entire experience. They are WONDERFUL - i really don't have enough great things to say....the ambience, the staff, and OOOOH the food! There was 1 other event going on there, but the manager made sure there was a huge time gap between our start times. I actually asked for an earlier start time and he told me no way! They also had a different bathroom...so we really never saw anyone. Again, my experience there was wonderful....u can check out our review if u'd like - it's loaded with pictures & such...Good luck!

i think everyone will have good and bad opinions on any hall - i guess that's what makes us all unique and all our weddings so different ...the bottom line is that U and ur FH love it.... and that's all that matters!

I agree. I think I saw 6 brides when I was there. If that doesn't bother you..the place is absolutely gorgeous!
Also, when we arrived for my friend's wedding, I'm not sure if the wedding before hers was late getting out or what, but it was very difficult to pull in the gates because there were tons of people waiting for their cars to leave from the valet. There was a long line waiting to pull in on Jericho Turnpike. Then when we finally got our car it was tough to get through the huge crowd waiting for their cars. Could have certainly been a fluke or a one-time issue with the valet, but it was definitely noticeable.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I've been a guest to a wedding at Jericho Terrace -- there were two or three other weddings going on at the same time, and we did catch a glimpse of another bride and other guests, but it wasn't crowded or chaotic and it didn't take away from the occasion.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

oh & ps: robert who is the general manager, told us that they will never book more than 3 events there at once....which is pretty normal for places that have more than one room.... so it wont go over that. u should go & check it out & actually sit down & talk with someone...see what they tell ya! (and of course fall in love with it even more!)

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I've been to a few weddings there and the only place we ran into people from the other weddings was outside near the 'smoking' area, which I think is where the valet is too. Didn't see any other brides or anything..

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I went 2 a wedding there & saw 3 brides taking photos at 3 different times. It was def very busy, but being that the rooms are not really spaced out there are constantly a lot of people running around, & only 1 bathroom downstairs, not very convenient. The food wasn't that amazing either.

there are actually 3different bathrooms on three different floors...and since last year they've had their new 'early arrival lounge'...where if ur guests get there a little early they can relax & have drinks. bottom line is just go see the place! if u're not satisfied then move on - but definetly go see it & make your own opinion & take on the place instead of just listening to all of us lol.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

Not to put a damper on anything, but I've been to two weddings at JT and both were just so so IMO. The food was just okay nothing special and yes you saw other brides. One of the weddings the MOB was there a little early along with myself and others and they had us all wait outside until they were done setting up. No come on in or drinks or anything. If you are not sure then continue looking. I hope no one gets angry at this but it is JMO and what I experienced there.

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I guess there are so many different opinions about the hall... I actually havent went there yet...lol....so when i go that will be my main question. I might be changing my date to october so maybe their would be fewer booked weddings. Unless that is a popular month as well. Im kinda new to all this...lol....thanks for the replies!!!

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

I've actually seen JT packed with 3 booming weddings at night..and it isn't packed with people..it's just a bit busy. if you want to see JT really REALLY busy, you should go during their wedding showcase - it's totally mobbed then.

But it's definitely not a RH for you if you want the entire place to yourself..i think Woodbury County Club does that? might be wrong..but i DO think JT is def. worth a look. :) And if you go, ask for Mike Closs!!

Re: Has anyone ever been to a wedding at Jericho Terrace?

My bro had his wedding there and I have to say, it was chaos. It was a friday in April and the place was packed. We had to wait on like to take pics..there were ppl everywhere and the valet was really backed up. Everything else was great...I don't really remember the food...but the dome room was pretty and the service outwise was good. Give it a look and see what u think...
