posting this here too.... attempting a cake card box?

I'm thinking of heading to Michaels to attempt this on my own rather than spending the $70+ for one on ebay.... has anyone done this yet? is it difficult? should i just buy the damned thing? LOL

I was thinking of making my own too, it doesn't look too complicated and it might be a fun project

I don't know Becca. Remember the table numbers?

You've got to be able to find it cheaper or maybe a fellow LIW bride can make it for you cheap?

Re: posting this here too.... attempting a cake card box?

I was going to make one and went to A.C.Moore yesterday. I wound up buying a ready maid mailbox that I'm going to personalize. I have a pic in my album 'my wedding things.' It might not be as pretty as the cake card box, but it's less stressful than me trying to make one lol

Re: posting this here too.... attempting a cake card box?

I am in the process of making a card box that looks like a stack of gifts.

I saw it on ebay for $50 and I thought what idiot would pay $50 for this when you can make it for so much cheaper.

Well after spending over $40 on supplies and ALL day on Saturday working on it, I guess I am the idiot!!!!

Try the wedding box if you want to, but only do it if you think it will be fun, not just to save some money - otherwise you will regret all the time it will take!
