i sent her my pic choices and she sent me the initial design, very clean looking, loved it), and then we worked together back and forth a few times and I gave her a list of nittpicky things I wanted to adjust, since I'm obsessive about the order of pics and symmetry, and we got it to exactly what I wanted. got all changes done within a month. mariann is great with album design!

that was the part i was most concerned about to be honest bc theres no standard way to work around stuff like that...you kinda just have to be creative and listen to your body. i didn't know what my energy level would be like that day...would i be able to go the whole day without using a wheelchair?, potential for falling and making an arse out of myself, lol, etc. i made sure that i got a dress that wasn't super heavy, shortened the train for ease of getting around, my DH helped me when needed, i sat when needed, and my guests understood that i wasn't going to be able to dance the night away, which i was fine with lol, or that i wouldn't be able to get up and go around and chat with everyone so they all knew to come to me, which worked out just fine. We (and the BP) did our reception entrance through a door closest the dance floor instead of the one they typically use and walk across the entire reception room. The girls in the BP did everything they could to make things easier, without me asking at all, holding my bouquet alot. Little things like that to make it all easier. But, thankfully, God really blessed me with reserves of energy that day!!!! I got down the aisle just fine, with my grandfather holding the bouquet, and Tom from OFC graciously lent me an arm as I walked over the first step onto the deck. I didn't use a wheelchair at all that day. And I was on my feet all day but didn't feel a thing until the night was over! It wouldve really been great to have a resource for tips or something for wedding planning when you have a disability and I have thought about trying to do something, who knows. I've talked to a friend of mine who also has a disability, different from mine, and she said the same things. It would have been nice to talk to other brides with disabilities. I think the most impt thing to know is that you can accommodate/work around just about anything, with some creativity (I had anniv portraits done a few weeks ago and the photog brought a high stool and she positioned us in this beautiful field in such a way that you couldn't tell I was leaning on it). It is what it is and you work with it. I had an amazing wedding day and don't have one regret...it couldn't have been any more special. Most of all, its just accepting it and being comfortable in my own skin. We didn't realize until last minute that the door we were going to enter for the reception had one step, so DH just lifted me up! It was quirky and just us. It was a wedding of only about 50 so I was surrounded by those I love dearly and I know they feel the same, they know all about my situation, so there was no reason to stress too much!

Can't really call these "day after pics" bc its been a year  , but we thought for our first anniv, it would be fun to have a portrait session that we didn't really have a ton of time for on our wedding day. So this was relaxing and fun. Not a marathon of locations or focus on details, just us together. Here is the photographer's website. She is located out of Wilmington, DE but travels and actually has 3 dates set up to travel to NYC over the next 3 mos. She is SO incredibly sweet and hysterical. She had us cracking up. Amazing to work with and her work speaks for itself.
This was kind of a low-light session. We went out a little bit before sunset. Unfort, we lost sun faster than anticipated so it cut the session short but we still got a good amt of beautiful pics.
Hair and makeup both by claudia seyler. Shes located near Phili. She does lots of hair and makeup for tv, print, and events, amazing at what she does. My MU felt so light but still photographed really well! I felt great...in fact i wish i had this hair and MU on my wedding day to be honest!
So anywho, here are some of our pics:
  
 
We caught the most AMAZING sunset at the very end. This was our last pic and she blew this up for us on a canvas as an extra gift!
