Ugh, I cant throw rose petals, But can I still

use the paper cones to hold birdseeds, anybody have any ideas. Mucho appreciated

They will let you throw rice, but no petals? I don't get it. Anyway, I do think you should be able to use the cones for rice also. Why not?

Try it and see. DOn't use light paper to make the cones, use heavier paper. Are you making the cones yourself?

how about lavender? It smells wonderful & looks really pretty in the petals. I would think it's biodegradable too.

I think bubbles are a great option we did it and I love the way they look, but you are right enough people need to blow for it to be effective. In our raw footage of our video, I hear my photographer screaming, bubbles, bubbles everyone It helps. The b&w photos are nicer with the bubbles

If you make paper cones for birdseed, you are gong to need to use something at the bottom of the cone to stop the birdseed from spilling out since the cone wont make a perfect seal. Experiement with a few ideas but hot glue as caulk comes to mind.

If the cones are too much trouble you could use little glassine envelopes.

Another option to keep the birdseed from coming out of the bottom of the paper cones - this idea comes from keeping ice cream inside a sugar cone - use a MINI MARSHMALLOW!!!

We were told by our church no petals (or birdseed or anything that can make a mess and cause people to slip on the steps) so we're going with the bubbles option. I agree that it looks really pretty in pictures too.

With the petals I would ask then if the cleanup is the problem and if that is the problem because I think birdseed would be worst especially if they are nervous about someone slipping and falling..
