Did you have your bachelorette party or ever attend one in NYC? Where did you go and would you recommend it?

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

Hunkamania? One of my BM's is dying to go there for mine!

Also Mangia i Beve? (sp?) I heard they do great Bachelorette Parties there. Although I think a recent bride to be didn't have a nice experience there. Not sure though. Good luck!

Have fun wherever you go!

Edited to say: I HAVEN'T been to either. But heard good things about both! Sorry I didn't realize you stressed whether we have actually done it.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

I just threw my cousin's bachelorette party..they had a Jack & Jill party (guys and girls). I boked Remedy Bar and Grill from 10:00 - 12:00 - open bar all, premium liquors and all you can eat appetizers. The place was small but great, the manager was extremely considerate and attentive and the waitress was wonderful we had a total of 20 people and she remembered everyone's drink every time. And it was a great price too. After wards we just skipped around town which was a bit a problem no one wanted to let all 20 of us in at once, but everyone still had a great time. Let me know if you need more info

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

My friends took me to the Donkey Show. While I had a good time , I wouldnt recommend it - it was very expensive and not a great show overall.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

If you want bars geared towards bachelorettes, I'm your gal. These bars are down, dirty and rowdy.
Tortilla Flats (always a blast)
Brother Jimmy's (the original at 77th and 2nd) - good for bar dancing and blue shots all over the bride
Hogs and Heifers
Coyote Ugly
Mo's Caribbean (across from Bro Jimmy's)
Red Rocks West
Automatic Slim's (not as dirty, but a blast)

And if you want more sedate, upscale type places, I can help you there, too.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

I've gone to Hunkamania for 2 bachlerotte parties and we had a blast. For my sister's I planned it and everyone had a great time there. If you are looking for that kind of thing it is a really fun place.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

why not go to a brunch and then to a spa for the day with your closest and dearest friends.

That is what I want to do. I don't know what you are looking for in a bachelorette party but this is another option for you to look into.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

Don't go to Mangia e Bevi - service is horrible and waiters are rude. They say they take reservations but you still end up waiting forever for a table for big groups.

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

One of my GF's had hers at the Donkey Show. It's fun, but not worth the $50 cover charge. And the drinks were super expensive!

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

We went to Lucky Chengs for dinner - it was fun but just remember that you don't go there for the food or the service. It took us a while to get drinks (we should have had drinks before we got there),but it was fun - especially the lap dance! We then went to Coyote Ugly and then another bar, which I honestly don't remember. Overall it was a pretty good night.

But as someone else suggested... Brother Jimmy's and Mo's on the upper east are great. Also Tortilla Flats is tons of fun, they have a hula hoop contest!

Re: Suggestions for NYC Bachelorette Party

Tortilla Flats and Automatic Slims are great places to let loose and have a blast....
For some upscale and $$ fun, try 'The Park'...I organized a bachelorette party there and it was so much fun...so much so that I don't really remember how it ended???
I do remember that Matthew Perry was there though....that was a fun little addition to the nite!

Bowlmor on University place is a good one. Its an old bowling ally but its really a bar. Very fun. Good for bachelorette parties. They also have a lounge/club upstairs called pressure.
