Old boss Invite??
I left my job of 3+ years to stay home with my newborn baby girl back in June. I am getting married in May of 2004 and wanted to know if I should invite my boss and some of the people I worked with. I still stop in and visit and we are all really friendly. FH does work for them still(contractor).Edited to say: Old boss and old co-worker (who Im thinking of inviting, he invited me to his wedding) credit themselves with introducing us and getting us together.

Re: Old boss Invite??
There is definitley not a problem having them, and it may be fun, but to help decide also ask yourself:1.has it been over a year since you spoke to them?
2. will it make a difference to you if they are not there?
3. How friendly is your FH with them? and will NOT inviting them impact his working relationship?
4. Do you need to keep your guest list short?
That should give you a pretty good idea IMO. Hope this helps

I would also re-evaluate this when it's time to send the invites and then refer to Lizlen's points.

Re: Old boss Invite??
If you have the funds to invite them, do it, it can't hurt. You never know if you may want to go back to work at some point, it's good to keep those connections.

Re: Old boss Invite??
I invited my old boss. I had worked for him for 4 years starting off as his assistant and slowly making my way up the ladder. I owe him so much for opening the door to my professional career and introducing me to the right people. It's been 3 years since I worked for him. We do speak/email often and get together about 3-4 times a year. I follow the philosophy to never burn old bridges. If you can invite them, I would. Good luck!

Re: Old boss Invite??
Here's what I have to say, if they really introduced you, invite them! A good friend of mine hooked up a couple, and when she wasn't invited to the wedding, she was devistated. I mean, really, she still talks about it, two years later.

Re: Old boss Invite??
coming from a person who is going to be very cautious with her invites- I say invite them. If they did indeed 'set you up' I think it is a nice gesture to include them on your special day.
