Flowerfields wedding guest review-** UPDATED**
I promise to report back with a full review!UPDATE:
Ok- so here is my mini review of Flowerfields.
OMG- It was HORRIBLE!!!
NAH- -just kidding....
Service was great right from the valet. They were very professional and even remided us to make sure we take our cameras, phones, etc.
Pre ceremony: We got there a little early so we waited in the little lobby area. They had a little menu framed which was nice to pass the time- haha. They had couches too, but we werent waiting too lnog.
Then they led us into the CH room where they had wait staff lined up with trays of wine and champagne. They also passed around fruit scewers and some hor d' houvers, but not too many. It was before the CH.
Ceremony: the ceremony was outside and the gazebo was beautiful. We couldnt see the grounds much b/c it was dark (7:30)
One other thing was that the invite didn't say anything about an outdoor ceremony. Im not sure if it was a last minute thing b/c it was nice out, but some ppl were complaining it was cold and they didnt know it would be outside. Im a fall baby so I was fine. Some ppl just always need to complain!! Since the same ppl will be at my wedding and mine may possibly be outside, I'll be sure to forewarn them.
CH: Someone had asked about there being enough food at the CH and there definitely was. Everything was always repenished.I dont know what upgrades the bride and groom made to their menu, but they had paella, turkey with stuffing, roast beef carving, assorted pastas, ravioli, and a whole bunch or other things I couldnt even get to. (and the cheese cracker fruit crudete stuff- bean salad, roasted veggies, etc) There was a lot. They also had a sushi bar, seafood boat, caviar and vodka and martini bar which are almost always upgrades.
The only thing is that we couldnt tell what some of the things were and there wasn't staff behind each section to tell us. A few people were walking around asking each other what foods were. Whatever they were, they tasted great. FFIL has a shellfish alergy and he couldnt tell if something had shellfish or not. (dont worry- he still certainly didnt starve- haha and he is used to having to watch out)
The drinks were good- not watered down.
Reception: They had the steakhouse salad. i liked it..it was sort of sweet. The salad was served before the appitizer most likely b/c the appitizer was hot. They had the portabella tower with eggplant, procitto (sp?) and melted mozzarella. I think only 2 ppl at our table even touched it. I tried it (without the mushroom b/c i dont like them) and it was good, not excellent, but good..JMO though..its not really my sorta thing.
The main course: they had a choice of filet mignon with blue cheese mashed potatoes. Many ppl ordred it and saif it was very tasty. I dont like blue cheese so I steared clear.
FH had the pork chop and said it was the best he ever had.Thats a lot coming from him b/c he works at a RH and eats great food all the time.He id a very picky food person and very critical.
I had the lobster and shrimp crepe over spinach w/ asparagas and tomatoes. It was very good, but very rich. FH finished it for me and he liked it too.
They also offred vegetable lasagna. But no chicken..it may have been what the hosts chose.
They had wedding cake. I dont know if FF makes their own cakes there, but it was good..vanilla with cannoli and choc. mousse. I think at this point I was just so full and tired of eating - haha
They also had a chocolate fountain which im SURE was excellent, but I didnt eat that either.
Then they passed around a dessert cart with all these yummy looking cakes. If I knew that was coming, I would have skipped dinner..lol. Everything looked awesome, but none of us had anything and we left very shortly after (It was 1:30 am and waaaayy past my bedtime).
The service was also great. The waiter brought us drinks to the table promptly and cleared the tables promptly. They dont have bus boys so the waiters have to clear things themselves. Also, they dont carry the emplty plates on trays, they have to take a few at a time away. FH gave them a lot of credit for that b/c at his RH they have bus boys and the wait staff doesnt have to clear tables.
The band was Heart and Sole- they were great..you couldnt tell it was a band- they sounded like the original music..a good thing. There were times when the dancefloor want that crowded, but it may have been the choice of music or the crowd. I dont know.
Overall, it was a great wedding, the food and drinks good were plentiful. Flowerfield brides will have an amazing wedding and have nothing to worry about. Your guests will love it.
I took a few picks with my ultra crappy 2 pegapixal camera. They didnt come out the greatest though. Im sorry I couldnt get more, but the pics kept coming out too dark.
And these were the CPS.

Great Review!!The Martini bar is standard and the ceremony being outdoors prob was a lst minute decision. You have up until 20 minutes before the ceremony to decide where you want to have it!!!
Glad to hear you had a GREAT time!!

I seriously dont understand why its not standard at all RHs b/c anyone can walk up to the bar and order a martini, y know. It shouldnt be an extra cost to the host.

I've actually been at a few weddings where I couldn't get a martini!!
But you're right, it should be standard everywhere!!!
