Where did you ladies find the small candles to use as placecards

Hey where can I get a good deal on the small candles to use for placecards. I know my friend is expecting about 250 people so the lower the cost the better. Thanks so much ladies

Most of us went to Michael's and paid 2 for $1 for the votive holders, on sale. Then the bags of tea lights were cheap. You don't need 250, you only need one per couple.

I've seen them on ebay for fairly cheap, but then you have to pay shipping. Watch the paper, Michaels always has them on sale, or you could try WalMart, I think they're about .54 cents each there.

Just curious, how do you use these candles as place card holders? Do you write directly on them or attach the actual place card to them???

you glue a piece of velum fitted to the glass, with each name printed on one.

Yes michele good one. I kept forgetting that when I was planning my own wedding. Ok I will check Michaels. Hopefully I can catch a sale.


Now vellum paper anyone have a good place to get that.

Also for folks that have done it before, did glue or tape work best?

Paper from Paper Access in Manhattan. Double sided tape worked for me.
