09/29 was the most perfect day, blue skies, no humidity, absolutely gorgeous, I can honestly say this was the wedding I always dreamed of, the following is my review:
The Woodmere Club A++++++++
From the moment my mom and I walked in the door we were pinching each other because this was absolutely the most beautiful place we had seen. A ceremony room that was breathtaking and a gorgeous ballroom. Don made the planning process a pleasure and there was nothing I asked for that he did not do. We spent the day there getting ready and the bridal suite is beautiful and was filled at all times with food and drinks. The club is beautiful inside and out and my pictures are shot in so many beautiful locations. All I can say is from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception nothing wasn’t perfection. I feel so lucky to have been fortunate enough to have had my wedding here. This is a special place and everything and everyone at the club made it a perfect day.

My sales women was Felice she was wonderful, patient and clearly loves what she does. I know she helped me find my perfect dress. Josephine was my seamstress and I cannot say enough wonderful things to explain how perfect she made my dress fit. I had several fittings as I was losing weight (without trying) the last weeks before my wedding. Everytime I returned the dress had gotten loose again. Josephine did everything I asked and more. In the end (I picked up my dress the day before the wedding) my dress fit absolutely perfectly. Josephine is the best and I will be forever grateful to her for doing the job she did.
Bridesmaid Wore Alvina Valenta bought from Bridal Salon Of Manhassett B
The dresses came in a completely different shade from the swatch. The manufacturer refused to acknowledge this and would not take them back. Fortunately the Bridal Salon had her own seamstress redo the dresses and they were fine. This was the one stressful experience I had.
Andrew Pascoe Flowers, Oyster Bay A+++++++++++++++++++++
Words cannot say how amazing Andrew is. I had seen a few florists before I saw Andrew and none seemed to really get what I wanted. I had a vision and after talking to Andrew I knew he got it. I wanted a composite bouquet which is a rose with petals wired around it creating 1 giant rose. I had seen it in a bridal magazine and it was so different and beautiful. Well all the other florists had said it couldn’t be done. Andrew executed it perfectly and noone could get over how beautiful it was. (I will post pics) My chuppah was breathtaking and my centerpieces more beautiful than I ever imagined. He is a talent and the nicest person to deal with.
Faze 4 Chris Michaels A++++++
Amazing band, Don at the Woodmere Club told my mom that it was one of the few times he felt he needed a bigger dance floor. It was filled all night. They play everything from hip hop to the classics and sounded like the original artists. I did give them a detailed play list and do not play list and they rarely strayed from it. Everyone said they were the best they had heard at a wedding. Amazing band, great company to deal with.
Spelman Studios Photography A++++++++++++++++++
When I met Christine I knew very quickly this was who I wanted to shoot my wedding. I knew she understood the types of pictures I wanted and I knew she would be calming the day of wedding. It was important to me that my pictures capture our personalities and not just be a bunch of hokey wedding shots. Well my proofs are gorgeous and she did just that. Sue our second photographer was just as wonderful and it was a pleasure having them with us all day. The videographer was excellent also I do not have m video yet but he just was never in the way, yet always was there. I loved this vendor.
Marcia Kahan, Lynbrook (Invitations) A+++++++
Marica works out of her apartment in Lynbrook and was so sweet and knowledgeable. She found me the perfect invitation. Exactly what I envisioned. Her prices were discounted and she made the whole selection process fun. She has a website so just google her name and it comes up.
Rehearsal dinner, Seventh street Café, Garden City A+++++++++
Great food, service, perfect place, ask for downstairs room as it more quiet and private.
Cake By Sweet Things A+++++++++++++
They recreated the cake Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had at their wedding, it was pink and came out identical, it tasted great too.
Make-up by Sandra of Trisch McEvoy A++++++
Can find her or call the Trisch McEvoy counter at Nordstroms Roosevelt Field and they will have her call you. My make-up was so natural and stayed all day.
So in conclusion I can say this was my dream wedding, all I ever wished for. I loved my vendors. Now I am enjoying married life. You can FM with questions regarding any of my vendors..

Thanks for all the kind words, the flowers were not silk, Andrew Pascoe was unreal with the flowers. By the way the videographer we hired through Spelman did the most amazing job.

sorry so late in responding here but CONGRATS and I am probably the only other WOODMERE CLUB bride LIW has ever seen. Actually that's not true...when I joined this site one girl had just gotten married there. But since it is a private club we are few and far between...it was so nice just looking at your pics. I agree Woodmere Club is the most beautiful place...I had been to a wedding there years ago and always said that was my dream place to get married...and my dream came true! I was lazy and never got around to doing a review and never even posted pictures. But it was so nice seeing yours...looks like you had a beautiful day!

PS - Don really is THE BEST! Everything was perfect...he was a pleasure to deal with!
