DIY Stuff w/ PICS!! Please Comment!! Invites & Menus

Hey ladies!! I just wanted to get some opinions on my invites & menus!! I like constructive critisism so feel free to tell me anything, if you think I should re-word something or whatever advice you may have, I'm open to it. I want to print my invites in the next two weeks or so and after going thru many, many designs FH and I have settled on this one. They are going to be Black pocketfolds with metallic silver backing on the invite. I'm not sure if I want to put some sort of jewel embellishment or something on it so like I said, suggestions are welcome!! I'm also including my menus even though I haven't gone for my final appointment yet, I wanted to nail down the format so when I DO go for it I can just plug stuff in, print and assemble. Those will be white paper on purple (hopefully darker then the photo) and lime green.

They look nice. I think you should put the year on the RSVP card. The flourished look a little goth 2 me, is that the look u were going 4? luv the menu's!

Looks great! my only comment is that i noticed some things on your menu are capitalized in the middle of the line and others arent. Not sure if that's correct or not. looks great though!

Beachbum & Mizzdimple: If you want me to design some stuff for you seriously, I'm totally open to it. I like doing monograms and stuff, gives me something to do at work....besides work

And....yes kslmbuggie, I'm going for a bit of a darker, different look, if you want to call it goth, that's cool.

AND I will add the year to the RSVP's....I didn't even think!! haha.

I don't know if it should be capitalized but just be consistent.... for example you have: 'Grilled Eggplant' but 'Sliced tenderloin' and then 'Assortment of Marinated & grilled..' and 'Belgian waffle'

I'd probably go with just capitalizing the first word unless it's a proper name, but if you want to capitalize the first 2, or the name of each food that's cool too. Whatever you want!

could be photoshop or illustrator, but u can do this in word also, thats the easiest.

I actually used CorelDraw, but you can use photoshop as well, I'm just more adept at Corel because that's what we use at work. I find the interface a little more simplified in Corel which is awesome for some projects but not so good for others.

I love it! I wish I knew how to do those menus! I keep trying and they get worse and worse lol

Did you put the border on? or did you attach it to the menu? If that makes any sense lol
