RANT / VENT-If you know me... dont try and get a discount

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENT:

Alot of people know I am a manager for 2 diffrent retail locations.... but when you try to use my name
'Kimbalina' <---- (obvisouly not what my real name is) and state that I haven given you a discount or free item in the past- That makes me really angry,

DO NOT USE MY NAME for a discount, you will only be turned down anyway.

I dont want to get into who might have done it, but when my staff tells me KIMBALINA was used, it is obviously from this site. If I want to give you my discount or a courtesy item, that is my CHOICE when I see you.

I dont mind sharing my discount, really. But dont ask for me and then hear I am not in, and say 'oh well she gives me discounts and stuff'

It really just got me a little crazed when I heard it and I had to get it out.

OMG, I can't believe someone tried to do that. It would at least sound better if they used your real name. I'm sure it's frustrating, but as a reader, it's pretty funny, just cause it's hard to believe someone would have the ba11s to do that.

If you offered that is one thing but I am not going to walk into your store and not even say kimbalina but say Kim ***** and say i want her discounts we are BFF's ...well this is mainly bec i dont know where you work....if i did it would be a different story

I mean seriously, to save a few bucks you could be putting someone's job in jeopardy!!!!!

you have no idea how angry this makes me bc i always used to help people out at my old job and then bc of a few big mouths i almost got *MY* discount privileges taken away!!!!

I'm a manager in retail and I know how you feel...what if god forbid your district manager was the one they asked. its just not good for business. I'd be pissed too. I had a girl who worked in my mall do that...came in and was like oh your manager said she'd give me her discount. like ...what are u a friggin moron?!?!

No I didnt get in trouble.. it was comical because I am the store manager!!! so one of my part time teenagers told me.
