Re: Italian Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

Ok so it's not totally Italian and it's not 100% all around romantic but their food (including their Italian food) is sooooooooooooooooo good. The place is called Cafe 31. My fiance and i have Rangers Season Tix and we try to eat there on a regular basis. They do have cloth table cloths and napkins and incredibly good food. I am also emailing my FH about places nearby that he knows.
PS: im going to see wintuk on december 22nd too!

Re: Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

Around Madison Square Garden is definitely challenged! It's hard to find a really good restaurant within a two block radius. The place we found that was decent is called Tupelo Grill and it's located right across the street from the entrance of MSG. If you want to go a little further south and west, there is an amazing restaurant called Cookshop. There's also Nick and Stef's in MSG which is a steakhouse!

HTH!!!

Re: Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

Oddly enough, i live a block away from MSG. To be honest, there really is nothing romantic in the immediate area. I would get in a taxi and head 10 blocks down to Markt...excellent bistro and shouldnt contrain your timing.

Re: Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

I think all of you will really like Wintuk! I watched it with my family a few weeks ago and loved it. It is different from the usual Cirque Du Soleil shows, but I still thought it was great.

I haven't been to many restaurants in that area, but here are a couple I found on Citysearch that were supposed to be romantic...

Il Campanello

Ayza Cafe & Wine Bar

Have a great time!!!!

Re: Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

My pick would be Carmine's. It's about 10 blocks away, but definitely worth it. If u've never been there, it's a family-style Italian place with awesome food and a great atmosphere. I go there for every possible occassion.

Re: Restaurants by Madison Square Garden

Are you looking for only Italian? Tupelo is an Italian restaurant in 1 Penn Plaza. 1 Penn is the really tall building right next to Madison Square Garden. I work in 1 Penn and the food at Tupelo is good and its a nice atmosphere.
