Re: Sandcastle Brides
My friend was married there last year. I had the salmon, and it was the best salmon I ever had! The food was awesome! The place was beautiful. The only thing I would say was a negative was that there was a wedding next door that had the kids in that party running around all over the place, and people offered some complaints, but noone stopped it. They were coming into our room. If you have the unfortunate experience of an unruly party next door, make sure that your banquet manager takes care of it so that it doesnt ruin your party. Another thing that I liked that I feel is important is that the bathrooms were kept very clean. Other than the issue with the bratty kids next door, the place was very good and I cant complain. Good luck!

Re: imagin96
I guess I am not with the majority. My best friend had her reception there (I was in the BP) and IMO, it was the worst wedding I ever went to. Remember this is MO. The service in the bridal suite was very good. They were on top of us with food and drinks. The service in the reception room was not that good. I had to ask four waiters for a drink (actually it was not even a drink, it was for a soda) before I got. When I received my food it was cold and as soon as I got up to the bathroom they took my food even though I was not finished with it. She did not even have a big wedding, there were 180 people at the wedding. I also guess like everything else, you get what you pay for.

Re: imagin96
I have heard from people that have been there that the bride had paid alot per person and everything was wonderful. My gf paid IMO alot per person and she did not get alot of stuff. I did not mean it in a bad way. Remember that post was IMO.

Re: Sandcastle Brides
I went to a weding there in October. It was beautiful, the food was great except for the Chicken Francese- not my favorite dish, but the service was outstanding, and the cake was so good.

Sand Castle
Marcella: What I was trying to say is that I know a bride who paid $250 per person and got soup-nuts where my girlfriend paid $150 per person (which IMO is alot) and did not get as much. All in all, my experience at the Sand Castle was not that good. IMO the place is overdone.

Re: Sand Castle
everyone will have their own opinion, and that is ok. I have never heard of anyone paying $250 pp but that is just me. Overall, the review has been positive and I think that counts for alot. The food and service has gotten great reviews in the past. Karen, I am also using the skyroom for my reception!

Re: Sandcastle Brides
I looked at SC when I was looking at halls and I didnt like the initial meeting. The place was huge, and every time i turned around there were guests of a wedding all over (they had 2 weddings going on at the same time and both weddings had over 200 people so all the guests were everywhere) I felt very under dressed.I felt very spoiled by a previous hall that has 2 weddings at the same time and each wedding has its own kitchen, staff, bathrooms, etc...where this place had one central bathroom for both parties that are going on, and one kitchen.
What I didnt like was the BM was pushing the more expensive menu on FI and I and whenever I had a question she seemed to get annoyed at me asking the questions and her main concern was the 2 weddings going on rather then me sitting there with her.
I was just very turned off by the initial visit.
I am sure its a very lovely place and the food is good, but my first visit just wasnt very enjoyable
