Any ideas for a Mickey Mouse Themed Wedding?
I have always wanted to get married in Disney World, but finances and travel for extended family make that impossible. Therefore, I am planning a Mickey themed wedding here at home. I am not into the princess, fairy tale thing. I am hoping to do this as elegantly as possible. Does anyone have suggestions for favors, place cards, table numbers and that sort of thing?

Re: Any ideas for a Mickey Mouse Themed Wedding?
Hi!We are actually going to have ours in Disney. If we cant we are having a disney theme as well...
What we were talking about was making every thing into a 'Make a wish' or 'When you wish upon a star'
If we don't have it in disney here is our theme ideas:
We were going to have our place cards shaped like stars with silver stars and mickey confetti shaped around the table...
The centerpieces would be either
large castles holding star balloons
upside down large glass bowls with different pictures of fh and I from disney or disney characters like a snow globe on a wood platform...
each table themed to a disney love story... like the Beauty and the beast table would have roses inside of a vase with rose petals all over the table... perhaps have their place cards shaped into the rose... the Cinderella would have their place cards shaped like slippers, and perhaps glittered pumpkins for centerpieces and maybe a carriage holding some flowers...
Hope that helps!!

How about Disney snowglobes for centerpieces? You could do table names based on each snowglobe.

i'm thinking for mickey your color theme will be black, white and red with a little gold (rather than yellow) thrown in.....it could look very elegant....don't worry you can pull this off.....I wish I more time to help but real busy with moving....

You can even incorporate Minnie and Mickey and use black, red, white and polka dots and have each table have a different picture of the coupleYou can have your girls wear red with polka dot sashes and carry yellow flowers

Re: Any ideas for a Mickey Mouse Themed Wedding?
Mickey and Minnie definitely have to be your cake toppers.Favors or dessert could be cookes shaped like a Mickey head - they don't have to have a face drawn on if you want it to be elegant; the shape is iconic enough. Or you could have a traditional cake / cupcakes sprinkled with something like this:
I'm sure you could find a Mickey garter for under your dress that would make some cute pictures.
Table centerpieces could incorporate the theme - you could put one Mickey / Minnie sticker centered nicely on one side of a glass vase you're using for flowers and it wouldn't look tacky.
Scatter Mickey confetti on the tables for some color:

Re: Any ideas for a Mickey Mouse Themed Wedding?
You could just add a touch of the mickey and minnie mouse theme. Maybe mickey mouse invites (I've seen a hallmark,) maybe a small mickey mouse shape lolly pop with the wedding date on them, even a cake topper... You could just throw a few of theses in and you have your theme done very tastefully.

I think it would be very elegant if you themed it around Classic Mickey and Minnie.I love the style of the old black and white Disney characters.
