Congrats and Welcome.

Suffolk is a pretty big place -- any specific areas you are looking at?

Re: Looking for catholic church in suffolk county

I know at my church - St Marys in East Islip - you have to be a member of the Parish to be married at the Church.

Re: Looking for catholic church in suffolk county

The reception is going to take place in East Northport so somewhere not to far from there would be good. We just moved to suffolk county so I am not too familiar with all the towns yet. Thanks!!

Re: Looking for catholic church in suffolk county

a lot of Catholic churches require you to be a member of their Parish in order to be married there.
The Diocese might me able to help you find a location better...
Are you from Suffolk County? Do you have friends or family there?
Perhaps you could talk to them if they are Catholic and see what their Parish rules are. Sometimes a Parish will make an exception for a non member if they are closely associated with a member in good standing.

Good Luck!
