DH and I put up our first tree!!!! WITH PICS
It is now officially 2 months since we got married and DH and I just finished putting up our first tree! I'm so excited! We had Christmas carols playing while we put up the tree and decorated it together. We stopped and danced for a bit and it was just such a nice evening all around!
Okay so here are some pics!
Our dog Viva was checking out the tree...

I added candy canes at the end. I'm dying to eat one

I like that Yesi-The one of Luis putting the syar on top is a great one for the "first xmas" scrapbook. LOL Pete was cursing up a storm when he did ours lmao cause wouldn't stay so no pics

Thanks everyone!! My doggie apparently liked the tree - here's hoping she doesn't get curious with what's ON the tree!!! I'm afraid it will topple over if she gets curious! Hope not!
For those who asked, the ornament I bought at TARGET!!! The wedding ornament was $15 which isn't too bad for a nice keepsake ornament, no?
They actually have a few nice silver ones besides the wedding one - they have a baby's first Christmas for boy or for girl, they have a "2007" ornament which I also bought (I put it up after I took the pics), and they also have the twelve days of Christmas (but not in silver) and other nice stuff.
The only thing is that I really wanted to put up the wedding ornament but didn't have a picture, so I cut up one of my proofs!!!!

wow--it really is surreal--a year ago we were all chirping away on the 07 board about how it was almost "our year"

Hmm I live rigth enxt to Target. I boygth a few photo ornaments but didnt see that one HAH DH would kill me though...complains we (meanign me) spent too much on ornaments already. he is under the impression they should cost 10 cents

I went to the Target in Queens not too far from my new place and decided to get all new balls (I had originally bought blue balls ( I mean, blue ORNAMENTS) and decided I'd rather have a red tree since we had put up garland and have poinsettias etc. So I got new red balls at Target and found the silver ornaments.
I bought a few - the wedding frame one, the "2007" one, and two dog house frame ones (one for Viva and one for Coco that passed away this summer). Each one was like $15 so it added up and I was thinking I shouldn't buy them, but so happy I did!!!! Of course, the dog house ones are now HALF PRICE on Target.com  but I checked for the wedding frame one and they don't have it online at all. Hopefully the stores have them!!
Here's the doggie one I bought. Just have to put pics of the doggies in there so we can put them up on our tree.
