To move the board ahead....

What is everyone doing next week for the Xmas hoidays?

And if you're Jewish, what are you doing with the time off?

Re: To move the board ahead....

I'm so happy for you and Tim, Kathleen!! Congrats again on the new house!!

DH and I have decided to stop the constant traveling/flying this holiday always created for us btw our two families. With our first holiday in our new home and with Daisy, we decided to host the holiday and ask our families to come to us. Needless to say, my family didn't go with the idea, so it's going to be my ILs and some of their family coming over. Either way, I get to wake up in my own bed on Xmas morning and I can't wait!!

Re: To move the board ahead....

We actually start our festivities on Sunday night at my BIL's house. They host Christmas Eve 'eve' with my SIL's family. So we go over there for that & enjoy a lot of yummy food. Then Christmas Eve we will be exchanging presents with our nephews that are in NY in the afternoon & then heading to my IL's to exchange. We all then head to my DH's Grandpa's house for the traditional 'Italian' Christmas eve.

Christmas day DH & I will be waking up in our own house & exchange presents with each other. We will be joining DH's family once again for dinner later in the day. My parents live OOT & will be heading in 2 days after Christmas. SO we will start the celebrations all over again

As of right now, I might be off the entire week (Boss is informing us today), so if that is the case, I will enjoy some wonderful time doing things with my family & also spending some time with Kiddo115 who is flying in from AZ to spend the holidays with both her family & her DH's

Re: To move the board ahead....

Well we were supposed to have Christmas Eve at our house and Christmas Day at my aunt's. But now my Grandpa is in the hospital so I'm not sure what's going on. We prob won't get to host Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we'll still have dinner at my aunt's and then visit Grandpa. Not sure if we'll have DD like we usually do; she's only 10 and we don't want her to see him like this and she can't stay by herself.
