That's great!!! If you want to get great invitations at a good price try adorableplanet.com I got the invites for Nina's shower from them and they were great. Have fun planning.

No it is not a surprise at all...she did not really want it to be. We are having in in May so a little bit of time yet ....planning will be fun.

Hi,
I booked it at Hudson's Mill in Massapequa. It is really a nice little place...kind of a little Manhattan atmostphere. What I like is that we will have the whole place to ourselves for the entire event. The food is really excellent. I hope it all goes well!

You are very welcome. Adorableplanet.com did a wonderful job and very fast too. You type up all the info you want on the invite and then they send you a proof via email with what the info will look like in invitation form, when you okay it they print them up and send them out. I also needed a few more printed up after the first initial set and they printed them and sent them out within a day too and they just charged by the number for the reorder. When you first place your initial order you have to order 15, but not on a reorder.

Sounds really nice! I was thinking of possibly having a brunch shower with a solely breakfast-type menu. Anyone have any suggestions for a place in Nassau County? Also, I was wondering do you have favors for a shower?

Milk and Sugar does a nice buffet brunch on a Sunday but you need to book wayyyyyy in advance. They told me about 7 months ahead!! FM if you need other details...I have the brochure.

Hi Happy New Year...
Milk and Sugar and Irish Coffee Pub are both really nice. I checked them both out...both were very booked...so yes check the sooner the better. The Carlton in the Park at Eisenhower Park has a beautiful brunch...a little pricey though.
We are doing favors for the shower....we are probably getting cookie favors from a vendor that I cannot remember the name of right now...but they are soooo delicious and pretty. I have also bought some items for prizes for some games at the shower. Right now bath and body has a big sale....I took advantage of that for the prizes!

Thanks to all of you for your input. I had no idea that you had to book so early. Even though my daughter isn't getting married until October, we'll probably have to plan the shower for the summer as she lives out of state. I better get busy looking!
