do a search & find ur very 1st post on liw! (not a response to someone else's post..ur very first actual thread post!). The best way to narrow down the search is to : go to search...then type ur username into the 'search for post member' box, and then put in an approx. time line into the 'search posts between' box of when u think u started using LIW...this will bring up ur earlier posts!

I am trying to search for several bridal consultants on long island or in the New York metro area that are reasonably priced and have excellent credentials.

Bridesmaid Dresses

Can anyone recommend where to shop for bridesmaid dresses for under $150?

And not one person responded! I did a search from 1/1/05 to 12/31/05 and this was the only one.

I'm checking to see what my first thread in '06 was!

My FH and I are unable to go on a long HM right away due to work obligations, but also realize going to the Caribbean in the middle of Sept. may not be the wisest thing anyways. So, while we look to the South for our winter getaway, we wanted to get a away for a few days after the wedding, possibly to PA or CT. Our intent is to get off the Island as my FH says it. He's lived here all his life, whereas me, I've only moved and lived down here for a couple years. Does anyone have any suggestions (names, towns to look in, price, etc)?

Btw...I'm been an avid reader of these LIW posts, but not much of a poster, but thanks for those who do, it has been really helpful with wedding planning!!!

Hello everyone!!
I am new here, I got engaged a few weeks ago on December 10th. I want to have a site booked within the next week. I have a few places I am considering and would like to know opinions/comments (good AND bad!), etc. Also if you have any pics that would be wonderful!!
The places we are considering are
- Crest Hollow
- The Swan Club
- The Metropolitan
- Westbury Manor
- Riviera at Massapequa
We're looking at Sat/Sun afternoon in July or August 2006, and will be also having our ceremony there.I would REALLY appreciate any info you might have.

'Has anyone used Mary's for their bridesmaid dresses? The dress my girls picked is a Mary's and their size chart is smaller than other designers. Did anyone have bridesmaids that needed to get bigger sizes than they normally wear?'
