Waterill Brides- How did you/will you handle tipping?

Hi, Ladies. Me and my FH are meeting with the Watermill this week to pick out our menu and stuff bu. I was just wondering how much you plan on tipping the Maitre-D, & bridal attendant. My FH claims that the manager, Brian, who booked us said that all gratuities for everyone was included in the 18% gratuity that was added on to the cost per head. I don't remember him saying that. Is this true?

Good question, I am getting married at the Watermill. We thought that the Matri-D was not included in that price and we met with Brian too. I didnt know how to go about tipping at all!

I am not a Watermill bride, but the 18% gratuity that I am paying does NOT include the matre d. I was told to add between $2-$4 per person for her tip. Make sure you ask them when you go. You don't want any surprises on your wedding day.

Re: Waterill Brides- How did you/will you handle tipping?

It is not included. We gave MD $400 (Between 2 and 3 pp) the Bridal Attendant $100, and the Captain $100. This was based on what the WM told us when we fiorst booked, and we checked around and this was right. But as always, tipping is a personal preferance, although in this situation it is expected and deserved. BTW, my wedding was PERFECT at the Watermill - they did an excellent job. Nothing to worry about!
