I can't believe it!! I couldn't sleep all last night because my brain kept thinking about it. It's small... only 2 bedrooms but it has a full basement.

Keep your fingers crossed... hopefully I'll know something within the next day.

Update 1/7/08:

Ok, so she counter offered and it's close to our figure!

I am SO SCARED, excited, and nervous. I don't know what to do. On the one hand, it has so much charm. I could see living in it. It doesn't need much work to move in and what it does need is totally doable. However, it's small- 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. We would have the basement, which spans the whole length of the house. My dad and DH could finish it. So it does double our living space from 990 sq. ft upstairs to 1980 sq. ft. I guess I always envisioned something bigger but it does have charm. I'm rambling because I am scared. I've never been so scared in my life- not even when marrying DH! Anyone else feel this way- have second thoughts?

Here is a picture of the dining room (she has it cluttered beyond belief)

View into the kitchen- needs work but isn't terrible. DH and my father could seal up the other entrance and we could put counters all the way around

Update 1/13/08:

Our offer was ACCEPTED!!!!!

So now we are scheduling a home inspection. If all goes well, we'll be HOMEOWNERS!

From someone who has a tiny 2 bedroom, one bathroom house with a full basement I say go for it!!!

I frekkin love my house and it is all we need for now!

It definately is a doable house! If you can, could you put a smaller bedroom in the basement??? I think that it is a perfect house for you now!!!!

This is a very exciting and VERY scary time right now. It's prob the biggest purchase you're ever going to make so it's perfectly natural to feel the way you do.

It's a beautiful house. If you can see yourself in it, go for it. It's big enough for you guys right now. It'll help build equity and when you guys are ready for something bigger, this house will help in a major way. It's better than renting. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I am thrilled for you Hollie! It looks like a charming place! So what that its small! Its going to be YOURS and thats all that matters for now...later on you'll move on to bigger and better things! I also like the kitchen. I love old world charm so I would totally leave it and maybe just change the appliances...you'll figure it out...I'm so excited for you!

We're going for a second walk through tomorrow night with both of our dads. My dad is handy and his dad has bought some homes. Hopefully all will go well.

We're also going to look at one more house tonight which is in the same price range.
