Re: How old is a flower girl?

I don't think it matters. My flower girls are going to be 3 and 7.

A friend of mine had a flower girl that was 9, don't worry about it!

I mean a 10 year old can look young too! I think it all depends.

I am using my 10 year old cousin as a Jr. BM. If there is a girl you want to have in your wedding who is too old for FG, make her a Jr. BM, no rule stating that you have to have a FG.

My flowergirl is going to be 23 months I think flowergirls are generally under 9 or 10... then they become JR bridesmaids

Re: How old is a flower girl?

I don't think there is one set age...a friend of mine had one that was almost 11...she was little, but she didn't look 5. I thought is was great...she had a dress made to match hers...it was so cute

I will have two age 4½ and 3½

Re: How old is a flower girl?

I don't know what the age 'limit' is for FG's but I have two and they are 6, and 5.
How old is the little one in question??

Re: How old is a flower girl?

My flower girl will be 18 months. I know she is so young, but she is my only niece. My nephew/godson who will be 3yrs and 7mo will walk with her. I hope it works out, kind of nervous. He my ringbearer is a pro this is his 3rd or 4th time in a wedding party!

Re: How old is a flower girl?

My nephew will be the ringbearer and he will be 5. And his sister will be the flowergirl and she will be 18 months. She will be a little young, but if in the end she doesn't want to walk down the aisle, atleast I will have her dressed in pictures. She may walk down with her brother holding hands or maybe her mom will carry her (her mom is my MOH).

Re: How old is a flower girl?

i am having the same dilemma...
2 of my girls will be turning 8 & 9 this year...so i don't know what to do...
how do i ask them to be a part of my bridal party--doi say to their parents: 'we would like xyz to be our flowergirl/ jr bm/ or part of our bridal party?'

i don't know how big they are as they do not live in new york & haven't seem either of them in almost 2 years...

my other little girl will be turning 5--so she's at the perfect age & her brother will be the ringbearer--he will be almost 2 yrs old....

help!
thanks!!

Re: How old is a flower girl?

I've even heard of some instances where there have been some ADULT Fgs!

We have 4 . . .Ages 7, twins who are 8, and then a 5 year old.

Re: How old is a flower girl?

I posted earlier about my fg, but after reading all the posts about the young girls, I just wanted to add that my RB will be 21 months and 25 months old! I'm hoping the FG helps them!

Re: How old is a flower girl?

i also don't really think her age matters. if you want to include her then definitely do it! mine will be four and my rb 7. when my sister got married two years ago the flower girl was only 14 months old! just a suggestion for some of you with really young ones, my sister took the kids to the church several times before the wedding so they could practice walking down the aisle. this made them a lot more comfortable the day of b/c it was like been there done that.

Re: How old is a flower girl?

To be honest I think that a flower girl should be ages 7 and under. anything after that to me is too big to be flower girl. After 7 they should be Junior BM becuase it make them feel more grown up to have that title. My Junior BM is 8 and she was all excited to be Junior BM because she said that she gets to be a BM just like her mom is (who is one of my BM's). She feels more grown up...My flowergirl is 4.

Re: How old is a flower girl?

My flower girl is 8, and my Jr. Bridesmaid 9. You would be surprised at how big a difference there is between them!
