Wedding Venue - Please Help
Our wedding is in August, but we still haven't booked a venue.
I am getting very nervous. The main problem is that our wedding is going to be pretty small (about 50 people) and it is very hard to find something good and inexpensive for such a small number of people. I'd really appreciate if someone could give me some ideas about good wedding places in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Long Island (if in LI, then something within an hour drive from NYC) that would be appropriate for a small wedding. Thank you very much for your help!

Pier 92 is a restaurant on the water in Rockaway Beach Queens. My sister had her wedding for only 36 people there, and it was outside, tented, right on the water. It was beautiful.

Caffe on the Green is BEAUTIFUL in August...had my engagement party there, and they can handle a small affair (minimum 60 people though). They are very popular, and it's best to make an appointment before going to see them, so call and ask if the date is still available.
good luck!

I was going to suggest Pier 92 as well - also in Rockaway is The Beach Club which is on Beach 116th Street - they cater to parties/weddings of all sizes and the food and service are great- also great view and right on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk so the view is awesome!
I'd also try Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows, also Russo's on the Bay in Howard Beach has a new venue as well for smaller weddings so try calling them as well to see what they can do.
If I think of anything else I'll post it.

In Brookly try the following:Sirico's
Gennaro's
Rex Manor
Il Fornaio in Sheepshead Bay - I know it is spelled wrong, but look for something similar right on Emmons Avenue overlooking the bay. It is an Italian restaurant with a large room for a party. Food is very good.
