I am going to start calling a few hotels to see if we can take pictures inside their foyer or something in case it rains. Our photographer suggested that to us as a backup. If I find something spectacular I will post, but as of now, I haven't started the search.

How about a museum? Stony brook has a bunch, There's a mansion in the Bayard cutting arboretum, there's a mansion in Connetquoit state park.
How about a historical house, try villages with historical societies. I'm sure you'd have to pay a fee for this but you could get beautiful pics!

holtsville ecology is ok buy very small. (if you have more than 10 people in your BP it will be cramped)

try the marriot in islandia. their lobby is an atrium, and they let you take pictures there even if you arent staying there. they are at exit 59 or 60 i think
