He's back in the hospital-Update-Hes home again!
My brother was admitted back into the hospital yesterday. The nurese went to the house to check on him and heard a 'crackling' in his chest. He also had been complaining that he couldn't lie down flat and has been sleeping in his recliner. Well the nurse called the doctors and told them to go the nearest emergency room. He was admitted with pneumonia and is now on intravenious antibiotics. Vito told us that they did give him a x-ray before he was discharged and they, apparently did see a shadow on it......so HOW IN THE WORLD DO THEY DISCHARGE HIM!? Hopefully the antibiotics will help and in a few days he can go home again.I just hope he can keep his spirits up and help himself get better because I know what is in his mind. My father died of a heart attack on February 17th when he was a little younger than Vito is now and I know that is on his mind because he already mentioned it. My answer is that my father along with my mom are watching over him and don't want him with them yet. I hope I'm right.
Liz
After intense intravenouse anitibiotics he is home again and feeling better. He is still on oral antibiotics, but now he is improving and can breathe better.
Thanks girls for all the kind words.

Re: He's back in the hospital
Liz,So sorry to hear that. It's a very scary thing that when they see a shadow on an X-ray, they don't investigate further! You are all in my thoughts.

Re: He's back in the hospital
Liz,I'm so sorry. That breathing thing they give is so important to use, And it's always best the more he moves around. WHen my MIL had her Quintuple bypass that was very important...not to lay around and do the breathing excersises.
You are all in my prayers.
