Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Michelle, my philosophy is everything in moderation. I think that is why I am not an overeater. I do not deny myself anything. I never diet, b/c I am know once I say, I will not do/eat this, that is exactly what my body will yearn. Eat one candy bar, walk quickly to the train. You will burn it off in no time.

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Words to live by Shamma! Me and diets do not get along. But a frosty margarita and some nachos paired up with a Tae-bo workout suits me much better!

Doreen

Can't I skip the Tae-Bo and just drink margaritas and eat nachos? When will they come up with excercise that is as good as margaritas and nachos?

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Shamma ... same here. No diet for me, just a change of lifestyle!
I eat good meals but always have a cookie, candy or ice cream after!
Someone brought in Whoppers and I've been snacking on them ALL DAY!

I love my 'no-diet' friends
I had cucumber slices today too, so that sorta counters the candy, right? LOL

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Dont deny yourself anything - moderation is the key to a healthy body image as is a regular exercise program. It doesnt have to be radical - a few days at the gym, walking on the treadmill, resistance training is shown to have tremendous benefits.....

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

I need to be more like my hubby who goes to the gym every day after work! I'm such a slacker! I need to be back in dance class..that is the only exercise that remotely interests me!

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Does watching TV count as exercise If it did, I would be a super thin model by now.
I am just so darn tired at the end of the day. I really need to get back to Yoga. That made me feel 100X better.

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

I know -- I am tired at the end of the day too, but believe it or not - exercise GIVES you energy. Try to go on the weekends. That's when I go for the longest. When it gets nice out - go for a walk around your neighborhood for a half hour a couple of times a week with a friend or hubby--

And the more you channel surf, the more energy your use and the more calories you burn. Finally a solution to all of our exercise issues!

Re: Let's say you eat a healthy, low-fat lunch

Michelle, that made me laugh so hard, b/c I asked hubby to turn up the volume, would you believe the man was standing in front of the TV, but instead of using his hand, he walked all around the room looking for the remote. I was like just press the da*n button. By the time you find the remote the story will be done....geesh what does that say about us
