wedding rehersal question
i met with my officiant last week and she said no one has big rehersals anymore and to hire her for the night would be too expensive she reccomends just doing a quick trial the day of. I think thats nutz!!! my guests will be arriving at 6 and when does she plan on doing this so no one sees me. before my ceremony i`m doing pics so i don`t have ANY time. Should i see if my hall will just run thru it with the catering director or something??

Re: wedding rehersal question
You're getting married at the RH???I know most girls who are having the ceremony at the RH are not able to have rehearsals. They kind of give a brief description that day of where everyone should be.

Re: wedding rehersal question
You'll be fine... my cousin got married at her RH and they gave some quick instructions for where everyone had to walk, stand, etc. and everything went perfectly!

Re: wedding rehersal question
Don't worry about it. I've been in the bridal party of friends that have gotten married at the RH and basically they do a really quick run through. It only would take like 5 minutes. They don't do any of the readings or what not.The Matre'd will just have the bridal party walk down and show them where they would stand, and then the officiant might give a quick overview of which way to walk around the podium/gazebo/alter to do the candle ceremony, etc and then you all walk out.
Don't stress out, because they don't really do the actual ceremony, it feels fresh when the officiant does it for the first time.

Re: wedding rehersal question
Hey from a fellow Tall Grass bride! - I just saw your post and I have been thinking about doing a rehersal also just so we all know what were are doing even though it doesnt seem like the 'norm' anymore when you are getting married at your RH. Me and FH feel like we will feel better doing one, and some of my bridal party have never been in a wedding before.I spoke w/the manager at TG and he said they normally do not have them, but he will allow me to if I want. We are meeting w/our officiant soon, so I have to see what he says. But I think it sounds like a good idea, plus it is a nice excue to have a rehersal dinner!
