HONEYMOON IDEAS
Hi Everyone,I'm new to posting on here so let me introduce myself first - My name is Jackie and I am getting married this September 6th at Vanderbilt Mansion. All my planning is relatively done (just booked the band - Peat Moss & The Fertilizers!!!) and now I have to do the honeymoon - - -
I need some help figuring out where to go.
Here are my 'must haves'
1) BEACH
2) BEACH
3) Nightlife
4) Activities / Adventure
5) good food
6) somewhere I've never been
I have 2 weeks (9/7 - 9/21)
I'm thinking of:
*Bali / Lombok (there were terr. attacks there 6 yrs ago, I live in NYC and it could happen anywhere, but still)
*Australia (they will be entering spring)
*Kuai / Maui (but I've been to Oahu already)
*Greek Islands/ Barbados Beach, Turkey (end of summer season, so it might not be beach weather)
* Fiji (but is there nightlife?)
I really want to go to Cape Verde or The Seychelles but there are going to be like 3 layovers and I'm not sure I want to spend all that time on a plane.
If anyone would like to chime in, I would so greatly appreciate it. . . have been given a deadline by my fiance to have it squared away by 4/1 (he's indifferent, and wouldn't mind going to Hawaii FYI)

Re: HONEYMOON IDEAS
I just booked ours today! We're going to Cancun Le Blanc for 10 days. We went there about a year ago and loved it. We wanted a place with good night life and that seemed to be the place that had the most. Plus theres other excursions to do like snorkleing or a jungle tour.

Re: HONEYMOON IDEAS
My wedding is Sep. 6, but 2009! I am actually planning on going to the Greek Islands and chose my date b/c of that. September is an amazing time to go to greece. The tourists die down, prices drop a bit, and it's still very nice beach weather! Also, I believe I saw Pete Moss years back at Mulcahey's and really like them. Should be a ton of fun at the wedding!
