NYC After-Hours GTG (For all the NYC working girls!)

Morning Ladies,

Ok so a couple of folks FMed me regarding the thread about who works in the city. It seems a NYC GTG after work is something people would be interested in. It would likely be a week day after work for a few drinks or appetizers, whatever.

I know Yesi will be having surgery on March 28 so I wanted to do it a good enough time after that so she can come since she is one of the NY girls who's tried to organize NYC GTGs in the past.

Easter snuck up on us unfortunately so March isn't good I think-its half over. But we could do March 20th. I am thinking a Thursday because its at the end of the week but not a Friday night so doesn't interfere with any date-night plans anyone has going on. It would be fun, especially to meet the girls who are planning to walk for the March.

-Thursday, April 24, 2008

DH just reminded me that we have a concert on 3/20, so i'll have to say April 24.

Ok guys-dont forget to vote on the poll just so when i look back its easier to see and do a quick count up. i want to get a sense of how many grls are interested and what date Then we have to decide on a place. I will need ideas because I work in the city but as far as places to eat out at or have a drink, I am retarded. NO CLUE.

Great idea Jenn and THANKS so much for keeping me in mind with my surgery!!!

I can do either. I have a dr.'s appointment on 3/20 so I probably wouldn't make it to the GTG until 6:30 or later (my appt is on the lower east side). I'm thinking by 4/20 I should be good for a GTG - I'll be back at work by then so it would work.

Just voted...March is flying by. I think April would be better for me.
Hmmm....lemme think of places. I got to Divine Bar on W.54th a lot. Tapas, wine, delicious 'fruit' beer and yummy sangria (my fave).

honestly jenn either one! I'm gonna vote for april (even though it seems so far away!) so I can request a day shift at work! the march one is too soon so if i had to work i'd have to come after(and there's a chance that may not be untill after 10pm)...

OK guys you can keep voting of course but I am unofficially going to close this poll because it seems April is just easier for most people for the best turnout. march is a little close for me too because doing our taxes on the 28, the Bpics teh 22nd, dinner with friends the 16th and a baby shower on the 23rd. LOTS of stuff.

So we will aim for April 24, 2008. What time does everyone get out? I get out at 5am. I know Lupita gets out at 5:45 and Yesi is 5pm too I believe.

I'm a late one...6 pm is early in my job. I can always meet you guys, but figure me for a little after 6.

Thats fine. I figure we'd be hanging out till at least 8-9pm and people can go as early or stay as late as they like. I'd probably cut out about 8:30 just to be able to catch the 9pm bus to NJ.

Ok cool so we can say we start trickling into wherever at 5;30pm and anyone who gets out later can just me us there. What I will di is after we decide on a place and it gets closer to the time, I'll take a headcount so we can try and reserve a table or two when we get there so we have enough seating when everyone starts arriving in case its crowded.
