Instead of a newlywed chop....W/ Poll! and Now a PIC! lol
I really want to dye my hair! ... Right now its brown, with a little tint of red. I've done many different browns and reds ... but I kind of want to try blonde!I'm a little scared to dye my head blonde, I've only done highlights in the past of blonde.
Do you think I would look ok as a blonde, not platinum or anything, but a dirty blonde?? I really wish there was a way that I could see if I looked ok lol.

Re: Instead of a newlywed chop....W/ Poll!
there are sites (i forget the names, do a google search) where you can upload your photo, and then try different hairstyles and colors to see what they would look like on you.in answer to your question, i say why not!!! if you really don't like it, you can have corrected. you'll never know unless you try. and yes, i think you'd look really good as a dirty blonde!!!!

If you go to a good colorist they will tell you whether blonde will work for you and what shade you should go for. Also, be careful, you die it blonde and decide to dye it back it is very hard to cover the blonde, it will take many times of dying it to get it back to the color you are now or close.

i didn't even think of that, I thought I would have to wait a while to just dye it a second time, but I didn't even think about it having to absorb the color ...

Try highlights instead. You can progressively go lighter.
I am a brunette with red undertones, and blonde does not look good on me.

i like the lighter color on you, but i think this is too light. Try highlights...it'll brighten you up but be a little more subtle of a change.

Thanks! yeah I defiantly don't want that light of a blonde, they just didn't have any darker blondes on that one website. I have to go to the salon and maybe they can help me with all the right colors!

I agree i would go with honey/caramel highlights first and then if you want to go lighter you can. What a fun website you found :)
The color above is way too light for your face though, theres a very big contrast when you look at your brows and the blonde hair. But i think you would look good dirty blonde.

It defiantly was a fun website! I never would have thought to use one, if teenigirl didn't suggest it!.. and defiantly would go alot darker than this, I just wanted to see what any kind of blonde looked like on me lol

go gradual! that way u'll see throughout the process what your liking & not liking about it. Like jen said, start with some heavy highlights & work your way from there... also if you do it this way you'll end up with a much more natural look in the end! it's so funny 'cause i have the opposite problem! i have ALWAYS wanted to go dark just for a fun change(i've been blonde my entire life), but i'm terrified i'll never look like a natural blonde again because of the stripping process afterwards! best of luck to you! like i said, start with highlights & work ur way lighter....u'll be a blonde for summer & it'll look great with a tan

I would do highlights...I think the blond is just to much. You have beautiful darker skin and eyes and blond might be to much for you...JMHO

Definitely do it gradually with higlights. Also, I think blonde washes me out but I wanted lighter hair so what I did is, I left the inside a medium brown and the rest a light brown with blonder highlights. It makes it so it doesnt look tooo blonde and it also makes it easier to maintain so when the roots grow in it doesnt look too drastic. Im gonna see if I have a pic...

I think if you went with a darker shade of blonde it would look better. You have a darker skin tone so the blonde blonde is to harsh against your complexion. That is only my opinion though
