Thanks, Liz!!! How will you celebrate on Sunday? Do you plan to cook? We're eating at Ruby Tuesdays, Ben, Ben Jr., Deb, Mom, and me. Donna, Josh, and Shaun plan to eat at Josh's parents. Fred worked in Manhattan all week, and plans to be with his parents, on Long Island.Deb misses her bunny!!! Shaun, who's reading over my shoulder, and anxiously awaiting my computer, just said, "She had a bunny?" Smartie pants!! Shaun is also correcting my spelling and grammar!! Who needs spellcheck???? Hi Mary, we are in between courses right now. I am cooking. We started with anitpasto then ravioli with meat sauce and sausages, pork and bracioli. Now I'm going to get my leg of lamb cut with veggies. Hope you enjoy your dinner.

Hi!!!! Sounds delicious!! I took a long nap!! Had a wedding dream of all things!! I dreamed that we were in NY. got to the Hall, and I had left my dress back at the hotel, and I couldn't go fast enough to get it!!! But in reality, I think I actually left my dress at home!!! And my choices of dresses to wear weren't good!! I remember there was an old two piece summer dress, I had a long time ago, and a bunch of sundresses that belonged to Debi, which required strapless bras, and I didn't have any!!! And none of them would fit!!  I remember seeing Debi in my dream, who was so into getting her pictures taken, I think, and I was crying because no one would help me with the dress for the wedding!!!! There was some lady in my dream, but I forget who she was. I also remember worrying about my purse and some suitcases, that things could get stolen. What a dumb dream!!!!!!! Fred got home from Long Island at 2 PM; Deb said she'd be over to work on the wedding invitations. Last night, I hand addressed all of the outside envelopes. We ate at Ruby Tuesdays today. Ben, Ben Jr., Deb,Mom, and Donna, Josh, and Shaun!!! A few days ago, I was upset that I kept asking Donna what they were doing for Easter, and she kept saying they planned to eat dinner at their house, only to tell me lastly, that Josh's Mom invited them and they were going there, which irritated me, because I had continually asked about it, hoping they would dine with us today. So, I'm not sure what happened, but I think Donna knew I was hurt by it, and they came to Ruby's too, with plans to go to Josh's family's later today. While I don't mind they go to Josh's family, I initially felt we were being cheated of a holiday with them, since they had Christmas at Josh's family's. The problem is, Josh, I think, likes going to his family's, over going OUT to eat, which is what we do on Thanksgiving and Easter. It probably has to do with the fact that he has Brothers he's close to. I know he and Donna spend a lot of time with his Brother and wife, and they think they'll be going to the family beach house, in Carolina, this summer, again, to be with the whole family. Which is nice, because we don't have anything like that, but it just feels the time they spend with us is lopsided compared with his family. I've been talking to THE LORD about my feelings. Knowing that "All things work together for good, to them that love HIM", I'm trying to see it from a different perspective. I do get jealous about my Grandson, spending more time with new people, potential new Grandparents, when I have enjoyed being the only Grandma in his life so far. I of course want him to experience the happiness of relationships with new people, but also fear my importance to him will diminish. I helped to raise Shaun from infancy, so sometimes, it almost feels like he's one of my children. He's very precious to me!! But, as I said, I need THE LORD to help me with these feelings, and HE will!!!! Love ya, Liz!!!!!! Mary MOB

I understand how you feel Mary, with Peter living so far away. I haven't had a holiday with him in years and really miss that. At least you will get to see Donna I just get to talk to Peter on the phone.
I am SURE no one can replace you in Shaun's eyes or his life. You are his grandmother and that cannot be changed. I do understand you worrying because I would worry too even without reason. Can you talk to Donna about your feelings on this and that you would like them to alternate between the two families so that you get to have an Easter or Thanksgiving with them too?

I am SURE no one can replace you in Shaun's eyes or his life. You are his grandmother and that cannot be changed. I do understand you worrying because I would worry too even without reason. Can you talk to Donna about your feelings on this and that you would like them to alternate between the two families so that you get to have an Easter or Thanksgiving with them too?

Goodness!! It's almost 2pm!!!!! I was up 'til about 5:30 AM, clearing my computer of forward mails, and putting them on discs to save. Just got up!!! Fred got home from Long Island yesterday afternoon, after working for a week in Manhattan. I think he goes to San Diego, in another week, for a two week work tour. Donna has off work today, but I'm not sure about Debi. Donna is making a turkey today!!!!! Wonder if I can finangle an invitation for supper???  JK!!!! I think Donna is sensitive to my feelings. But you know sometimes, when other people have it in their mind to do something, others go along to avoid conflct. Or, maybe, guys just don't think, when they make decisions to go here or there; Could be as simple as that. Donna was funny yesterday at Ruby Tuesdays. She was sharing with Mom and me, how she had a dream that she got engaged, but Josh told her to just wear the diamond ring she had bought for herself for her engagement ring. Ben said he heard Josh say, "She knows me better than that!!" I know they recently started a wedding savings account. Did I tell you, Donna has chosen "wine" color for her BM Gowns? Toodles for now!! Mary

Wine makes a beautiful color for BMs...she will have a beautiful BP. As for Josh we better light a fire under his toosh to get out there and buy that ring!!!!!!!!
I do agree sometimes men are just stupid to the things we feel are important and you are right again about Donna just going along not to cause problems, but she should say something knowing how you feel. Hopefully she will say something for the next holiday.

Hey, it's me, at 1:33 AM. I've been doing some research on my blood pressure/tachycardia med. and I don't like what I've discovered. I've been eating like a pig, and gaining weight, so, I discovered that common side effects include: fatigue ( too tired to do anything but sit and post on LIW),slow heart rate, nausea, nightmares, ( must be why I had that dream about that kid I liked in the 5th grade, last night), difficulty sleeping (am I still up at this hour???), depression ( yep), and.............. IMPAIRMENT OF INSULIN RELEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS THIS REALLY GOOD FOR A DIABETIC!!!!!!!!!?????? helloooooo!!!!! I really have to take this info to my Dr. How can I reduce my blood pressure if I keep gaining weight , and have an impaired insulin release along with being diabetic????? I'm not a Dr., but this seems illogical to me!!
Re: stupid men. At our ages, I just tell my Husband, "You can't help it, you're a man!!" I want Debi to read a book I have on how men think/act. As she has gone through the wedding planning, and has said Fred hasn't helped much, I told her, "That's normal, he's a man, and he doesn't think like you." AM Toodles!!!! Mary

First you better tell your DR about what you read and how you feel on your meds.
Second, LOL you are right to tell Debi to read a book on men and yes it is normal that us women do all the work of wedding planning!!!! I guess that is just how life is.
