Post office question...
What's the deal with 'hand canceling' the invites? I hear of ppl having to go to the post office to hand their invites in instead of just being able to put them in a mailbox. Is it cuz the invite is too big or something?
ETA: My envelopes are 6x6. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

Re: Post office question...
it's so the invites don't go through the sorting machines and get destroyed. any type of bulge in the envelope (from a ribbon or buckle) will jam the machines and destroy the invite.ETA: its called hand canceling HTH

Re: Post office question...
hand caneling...you knwo when you get mail and the invite is stamped over? you can ask to do it by hand instead of gong thru the machine....people worry about the invites being ruined.....mine were fine except for a few marks on the envelopes....but they didnt rip or anything

Re: Post office question...
So since i have flat invites and am using two envelopes I don't really need to worry about this? I can just distribute them to local mailboxes??My envelopes are 6x6. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

Ok good good... yeah I think I read somewhere that square envelopes pay extra
