nwr- weird question

When you leave a message on an answering machine, do you say 'bye' at the end of the message? This only came to my mind when I heard my friend leaving a message and didn't say bye at the end-and said never does when leaving a message because it's a machine- and I realized that I always say bye! So I am just wondering what the majority does, haha

I always say bye and then afterwards I think to myself...why did I say bye? It's a machine. Still do it though!

i always say by or talk to you later. it closes out your message. yes, you're talking to a machine, but a person will eventually hear it.

I always say bye! It's a machine, but you're still 'talking' to the person you called! Haha kinda funny, cause I never really thought about this before.
