Need some help with a work related thing about college
I run a high school mentoring program for students interested in the medical professions. We're currently trying to put together a college prep program which will give the students more guidance as we work with a public school in NYC and they receive very little guidance to try to find colleges to apply to.
More specifically, right now I'm trying to get together a list of colleges that would be good for our students to apply to if they're interested in health care. So if YOU (not someone you know) went to school for a health care job (whether or not you work one now) and could answer the following brief survey about your experiences at college I would appreciate it so much. Thanks!!
1. What college did you go to? 2. What was your major? 3. What attracted you to that college? (ie. campus, extra curricular activities, majors/programs, location, etc.) 4. Would you recommend your college to another student and why or why not? 5. Would you recommend that we take our students on a visit of your campus? 6. Do you know anything else about other schools or other programs within your school that deal with the following majors:
Pre-Med Nursing Social Work Psychology Chemistry Biology Medical Administration and any other majors related to the medical field
Thank you in advance!

SUNY Stonybrook is good for pre-med Hofstra just opened a School of Medicine (I think -- or they are going to be opening it very soon) SUNY Farmingdale, Molloy, Adelphi and St. Joseph's have good nursing programs.
And I'm pretty sure Katharine Gibbs has a Medical Assistant program

1. What college did you go to? Attending Molloy 2. What was your major? Nursing 3. What attracted you to that college? (ie. campus, extra curricular activities, majors/programs, location, etc.) Everything, it is a tight knit community where learning really is the priority. 4. Would you recommend your college to another student and why or why not? absolutely, i feel that the school not only helped me in my education but also kept me a well rounded educated individual 5. Would you recommend that we take our students on a visit of your campus? absolutely! 6. Do you know anything else about other schools or other programs within your school that deal with the following majors:

Re: Need some help with a work related thing about college
1. What college did you go to? Hamilton College (Clinton, NY) 2. What was your major? Biochemistry (Pre-Med) 3. What attracted you to that college? (ie. campus, extra curricular activities, majors/programs, location, etc.) The beautiful campus and I was recruited to play soccer there. Also their great undergrad research program 4. Would you recommend your college to another student and why or why not? I would definitely recommend it. Its small so there is a ton of one-on-one contact with professors and my biggest class was only 40 students. Also, we have a GREAT undergraduate research program that is highly touted! So if anyone is interested in medical research, this is definitely a top choice! 5. Would you recommend that we take our students on a visit of your campus? Absolutely!!! Although its a hike :) 6. Do you know anything else about other schools or other programs within your school that deal with the following majors:
Pre-Med- have it, but its not its own major Nursing- don't have this Social Work- don't have this Psychology- I don't know much about this Chemistry- Love the chem dept, they are fantastic Biology- Bio dept is great also Medical Administration- dont have this either and any other majors related to the medical field

Ah ok. I'm stuck up at the corporate office so I rarely get a chance to go down to the hospital, I don't know all the fancy names for things!
