July and August 2003 brides
After just reading the other post it has occurred to me that it may be a good idea for us to share our ideas on the heat. July and August are the 2 hottest months so how are you preparing for the heat?I picked sleeves/strapless wedding gowns.
Having finishing powder handy all day.
I am concerned about sweaty armpits and I'm in pursuit of the ultimate deordarant/antiperspirant.

Re: July and August 2003 brides
I'll be honest.. it will be hot I'm sure, but a) I don't perspire and b) I'm going to be so consumed with emotion that I won't be thinking about it loloh but just in case, I have done the following
a) strapless dress
b) hoop skirt as opposed to slip
c) hair up as opposed to down and being all frizzy..

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!I have a spagetti strap dress (still deciding if I want it to be strapless)
Girls will have spagetti straps as well
Not sure about stockings...maybe too hot but I'm afraid the crinolin will scratch my legs.
Let me know when you find that deodorant
Oh yeah, hair up

Re: July and August 2003 brides
I have a stapless dress, too. As to all you concerned about sweaty arm-pits, try Secret Platinum. It really is the best thing on the market. I used to work in advertising for a deodorant product and Secret Platinum was the only product on the market that could scientifically prove it was stronger than the other products. Don't ask me how, it's one of those stupid pieces of info you pick up from random jobs, but it's true. One word of warning though, Secret Platinum is like a lotion and it will rub off on your clothes if it's not dry, so give yourself at least 20 min before putting on your dress!I'm an August Bride and I will be using Secret!!

Re: July and August 2003 brides
the antiperspirant issue is sort of tough because the solids can clump and with a strapless dress that would be nasty.Stockings..gee never thought about being hot in them.
I am concerned about my hair. Even though I plan to wear it up..it can still wilt right? Especially with all the hair spray to glue it in place.

I have a tank-top style dress, no hoop. Not sure about stockings. I can't stand them in the summer but I dislike my legs more. My hair is up b/c if it's not I will look like Gilda Radner as Rosanna, Rosanna Danna on SNL. I use a men's deodorant called Speed Stick [color blue] because it doesn't ruin my clothes when i get dressed, it smells good and keeps me dry.

I'm getting married at Atlantica and on the beach so I worry about the heat and sweat too!
I found this absolutely amzing deod. called CERTAIN Dry, you put it on the night before. It keeps you so clean and it's clear so NO MARKS!!!
I used it in Mexico last year and it was perfect!
