Do you have your own separate savings account

Me & DH have a savings account where we are saving money for a house. do you have an account in just your name?? i have had this account for awhile he knows about it. trust its not a whole hell of alot but its just my own little emergency fund in case i ever lose my job or some other unexpected emergency. not sure if i should keep it as is or roll it over into our joint account. believe me i trust him & he is very good with money.

I have my own for an just in case and we have a joint for household expenses and taxes. We both trust each other and contribute a set amount each month into the joint account.

We each have separate checking and a joint checking.

we have separate and joint accounts. I want to spend $$ on certain things (shopping...) and dont want to hear about it, so I contribute every month to the joint checking for rent/bills and then have my own account for fun stuff!

We just opened a joint account after the wedding, but are still maintaining our own separate accounts - we will both contribute to the joint account for expenses/bills. Actually he wants me to handle all the $ for him and give him an allowance!

We have both too. We each put a certain amount into a joint account for savings but the rest of our money goes into our own savings/checking accounts.

We have a don't ask don't tell policy regarding our spending of our own money.

All our accounts are joint-it works for us.

we had separate accounts but added each other's names to them...only for the fact of in an emergency or god forbid something happens to one of us, the other can legally access the accounts....we have one joint that we use as our main acct.

we have been living together for almost 4 yrs, so every acct we have is joint, there is rarely ever a problem, even if there is something expensive we want

DH and I each had our own personal checking and savings account pre marriage that we still keep. Now, these accounts are basically completely empty, lol, but we still have them open.

When we got engaged we opened up a joint savings which we still have. When we got married we opened up a joint checking too.

Everything gets deposited into our joint checking and we pay all bills and expenses from there. But we still have our own accounts open in case in the future we'd like to put some money in there to use as we please without causing friction with the other over the cost etc. Works for us so far.

We have everything joint.

We have separate checking and a joint checking and savings. this way we can surprise each other with gifts and stuff

We have a joint accounts and we both have our own personal accounts. Sh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!t our money's our money but my money's MY money. As long as we put the set amount on our joint the rest is alllllllllll mine.

Nope, all of our money is in joint accounts. We had separate accounts up until a few months ago and it was just way to difficult for me to manage.

Yes, we each have savings ans checking accounts seperate from each other and we also have checking and saving accounts and money markets accounts together.

we are co signers on each others accounts.

This works for us!

I don't have a separate savings but I have a separate checking (we also have joint checking). I use the separate checking for buying gifts, my student loan payments and misc payments I want to keep separate.
