Re: Saint Lucia

Yes, we stayed at the Sandals Regency in one of the bluff suites, we had our own butler and our own plunge pool, it rocked. The place was just outrageous, but very very expensive for that room category, but it was our once in a lifetime so it was well worth it. The only big downfall to all of the Sandals resorts is the food, its not good at all, my husband hated it, I tolerated it, it was bland, and low grade meats and seafood. We visited the other two Sandals resorts in St. Lucia when we were there for dinner, one is called the Grande, which was very nice and pretty and the other was the Halcyon which we didn't care for mostly because it was so old they are starting to refurbish the place but at a very slow rate. You cant go wrong with any Sandals resorts, but food wise like I said they aren't a 5 star dining establishment like they say there are. I would say a 3 star at most. But that also depends if you like fine dining and also pub food, we love both. Some people are not that into food and aren't picky eaters and don't mind odd, bland food. Many of our friends and family are like that, so it didn't bother them at all because they didn't look for a grand meal with steak and lobster, we did, its all about preference. I think our favorite place to eat was Arizona's at the Regency, more American style food. We were so glad we had chosen the Regency, it by far outshines the other two resorts hands down, but again, all the resorts were very nice and all three totally different.

Re: Saint Lucia

Yes, we did horseback riding and half way through, they take you to this breathtaking beach and yes, you then get to go into the water with the horse (that is if you want to) it was very safe & it really was a wonderful experience, the view was incredible, beach so pretty. . We also did the ATV excursion, it was a lot of fun, We got so covered in mud head to toe, but that was all part of the fun, it had rained so all the mud was all over the place. It was so worth it. We also went on the dolphin/whale watch boat tour, which was really cool. I would highly recommend each one. Best of luck to you.

Re: Saint Lucia

Hi Melissa,
You have FM.... Also I will try to find the info on the dolphin tour, we had seen so many dolphins and a few whales, it was amazing. As for the horseback riding, dont worry, they take you one by one in the water with the horses, and hold the reins, You get to saddle down first once your reach the beach. There you can relax, have a drink, take pictures and they start one by one with each guest in the water and its only if you want to go, it was very mild ride for only a few minutes, they can take you and your hubby on two seperate horses at the same time. Its a once in a lifetime experience. The water is not deep, you can go out about 1/4 of a mile and the highest the water reached was about 4- feet deep, but they go out to about 7 feet or so, as the horses really swim with you on there back. Make sure you bring a towl and a change of dry shorts at least. And dont forget your camera. The only bad part is you get horse hair all over you, as they take the saddles off before you go in the water, so I have very sensitive skin and was very itchy and stuff, but we were both fully covered in hair, it was gross but only a short time, you can rinse off in the ocean, wear your bathing suit and a cover up of some sort if you want. Still was well worth every penny we spent.

Re: Saint Lucia

I loved St. Lucia!!!
We stayed at the Sandals Regency and had a 2 story oceanfront villa with Butler - simply incredible!
The food - decent.
Don't waste your time at Kimonos - Japanese, horrible!
Gordon's at the Grande was incredible! That's on the pier, you need to make a reservation...or try that again...the butler makes the reservation.
We did Ziplining - AWESOME!!! Horseback riding, I could do without - I had the psycho horse.
Catamaryn trip to volcano was kinda boring.
