What flowers do you plan on using? Can you also post bouqets and centerpieces that inspired you to choose those flowers

Re: Calling April Brides
I am doing roses with hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus and I forget the other greenery. The roses will be 3 different pinks/creams. I had a polaroid, but it doesn't scan well! As far as inspiration - it was ALL her! She just created the centerpiece based on the our conversation of my likes vs dislikes!

Re: Calling April Brides
I'll stop now. but good luck finding what you want. I already knew I wanted to tulips, but i had to find a florist willing to do them (since they are a little fragile) so that was really important. Good luck!!

Re: Calling April Brides
When I asked my florist about tulips he said they needed a lot of water to last the day. Has anyone else heard this?edited to say:
P.S. I'm using all roses, but not sure what colors yet.

Re: Calling April Brides
I've heard that the tulips will be fine, and then I've heard that they will wilt. But i'm gonna risk it! But think about this... not to put your florist down but all tulips = cheap, all roses = big bucks.

Re: Calling April Brides
I was told by the one florist I asked about tulips and I was told they may wilt. I didn't want to risk it so I went with roses.

Re: Calling April Brides
I have heard both sides to the tulip battle. I personally LOVE tulips. I had roses as a BM and they were all wilted by the end of the church so I guess any flower can have a bad day. Pick what you like!

Re: Calling April Brides
Hi ladies - sorry i was gone - work is kicking my butt. i was confronted head on with the tulip battle. i ultimately settled with a florist who (probably telling me what i want to hear) told me it will be totally fine. Her solution, use VERY FRESH TULIPS and you won't have a problem. she is buying my tulips THE DAY BEFORE. this is really important so that they do not grow or wilt or open before the big day. she is the only one i found that was going to do this. many places, good reputable and awesome florists have to purchase their flowers sometimes even a week in advance. this is not the most ideal for tulips. of course, she was way more expensive than anyone else, but by sticking with tulips, i am still paying a real moderate amount for a TON of flowers. plus, i think all one flower really makes a statement.so yes, i am probably a ****er, but i am going to risk it because i LOVE tulips!! i will let you know how it goes! i hope that helps a little bit!
OMG - i just got edited out and I don't even think i was cursing??!!
