Flower girl tossing flowers question

Hi.

For those that are having a flowergirl, is she going to actually toss the petals on the floor or just be cute and walk down the aisle with the basket.

My niece is 4 and she is the cutest thing, but she can be quite temperamental at times, and I don't think she will toss the flowers.

Will it be ok if she just walks down the aisle?

I was thinking the same thing, my FG will just be turning 3 so I don't know if she'll toss the petals

I am having a 2 year old, so i doubt that she will be tossing flowers, I am just hoping that she will walk.
Her walking is cute enough! I wouldn't worry about it.

sure it is.. I have 5 girls and they will either be carrying little flower wands or a pomander balls..and a couple may be handing out flowers to the women sitting at the end of the pew.

i have 2 young fg too----i will have loose petals in their basket as well as a little boquet of flowers---if they want to toss they can (i hope they do!) if not they will just walk down the aisle.

My FG will be 4 by my wedding and I'm going to have her toss petals but, I'm also going to have petals sprinkled before hand also..she is just going to add to it and if she is in a mood that day, no harm done because some petals will already be there. I thought I could cover both bases there.

marcella-that is a cute idea to have the fg hand out flowers to the ladies at the ends of the pew--what type of flowers are you going to give out?

edit: bali--who will put the flowers down before hand--are you getting married in a church?

I am having 2 fgs They arent allowed by the church to drop petals, so they are just carrying baskets or bouquets of flowers. I was thinking about having them give flowers to FHand my parents, but I decided to keep it simple.

My FG will toss petals but my priest said to be careful to tell her not too many becuase he has seen his share of people slip on them, they are very slippery

2003wedding: Thanks.. I'm not sure yet.. but being that I'm using alot of colorful flowers, I was thinking of an assortment..

My church told me that we are welcome to have a FG, but she can't toss anything - too many people slipping and suing . So, she'll just be walking.

marcella-an assortment would look so pretty! it would look so nice as you walk down the aisle very colorful and bright!

Thanks sweetie.. I think so too.. I'm not permitted to through anything in church so I had to think of something.. you know? lol

I was thinking of even like rosemary or lavendar and things of that nature.. It'll smell soo pretty!

my FG was almost 4 and although is very outgoing...got a little nervous walking down and forgot about the petals until the last few feet...

oh well...it was cute...

My FG (3 yrs old) tossed one petal at a time for a total of maybe 6. It was super cute!

Just an FYI - Our church did not let our fg throw real flowers, but the silk petals were fine. She had just turned 7 before the wedding and she did a great job of throwing the petals. Maybe ask your church/hall is silks are alright to throw.
