09'er in need of venue selection help! RE: Bourne and Woodlands

Hello ladies!

Congratulations on your weddings!!

I need some help selecting a location and thought since some of you had already had your weddings at potentially one of these locals you could give me your honest plus/minus thoughts on these venues:

The Bourne Mansion
The Woodlands of Woodbury

Any feedback and/or help is greatly appreciated!! Please feel free to FM too!

Best,
Jess

I am getting married at the Woodlands in April '09. I also went there for their special Mother's Day Brunch. It was great. My brother-in-law, who dispenses praise sparingly and had no idea I was getting married there, marveled at the craftmanship of the mansion, especially the imported wood and the moldings of the dining room (he is in construction/lumber so it was high praise!) I can also say that the food is fabulous and the customer service is top notch.

I have also been to a wedding at the Bourne Mansion. I love the Woodlands as much as anyone could, but I have to concede the Bourne is at least equally spectacular. Both have that old Mansion feel, but you feel it slightly more so at Bourne. But if I recall, Bourne has a pretty significant site fee.

All in all, they are both beautiful venues. You are very lucky if those are your choices!

i absolutely love the Woodlands and got married there in November. We got a great price since they were looking to fill the date and we booked in March for that November. The staff and bridal attendant were attentive to everything, the food was great, I honestly can't say anything bad about them. I have some pictures in my album if you want to take a look!
