Anyone scared of not having enough $$$

I think I invited too many people and I'm afraid I'm going to be way over budget. Is anyone else in my shoes? I guess I'm just freaking a little too early, because I sent the invites out last week and all of the RSVPs so far have been all YES's. I'm almost tempted to start a rumor in my neighborhood that the Donohue/Brady wedding is going to suck really bad and people shouldn't go..
But it's my wedding, so I would never do that!

YES! We sent ours out about 1 1/2 weeks ago & same thing- every rsvp has been yes and everyone we thought would be no- is yes- so I am totally panicking!

I think we all have our moments to stress about money, details, etc. Hope you relax soon. Everything will be wonderful !!

I'm scared but for a different reason...I'm a contractor and my contract is up 8/15...I'm hoping they renew it for at least another 6 months....this will take care of all the wedding expenses and then I can focus on looking for a perm position.

yes, im getting nervous - for some reason the idea of sending out invitations freaks me out - just going over the ever changing guestlist gives me heart palpatations

and we might be buying a house - so that is looming in the background its a short sale so its different than the process you normally go through when buying a house....we put in an offer but we are still waiting to hear back - probably in another week or so....

i just have faith that we'll be able to pull it off - we've been able to manage our money well up until this point, so i just kept reminding myself of that....

In the beginning you usually get more yes responses than nos....I don't know when your due date is but maybe you don't have to worry! Plus unfortunately from what I have been reading there seem to be no-shows at every wedding....:(

(We have the opposite problem, we are under our mininum and we will still have to pay the promised amont to the RH. I would much rather be in your shoes!! LOL)

I never worried because I knew there was always the option of selling my body if worst came to worst.



I worried about that all through wedding planning but it worked out in the end and you should know that it will work out no matter what. Dont let it freak you out!

I was very scared so i took out a small loan against my IRA. I took out enought to cover the Honeymoon and security and first months rent for an apartment (hopefully we find one soon). Were hoping to pay it back right after the wedding but at least now i have that stress off me cause i know we will have enough $$ to get us through.

i freaked out too, i thought i was going to go over my minimum. I was getting mostly yes rsvp's. At one point it was about 200 yes and 20-something no's...then at the end all the no's came and the funny part is that i worried so much about going over my minimum but we actually ended up being just a little under our minimum lol. It worked out great too bc we also had things thrown in bc of that.

OMG you were just reading my mind!!!!

I have been good about saving but now that I have to take it out of savings I am freaking aout a little!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is all the little things too!!!

i am sooo scared...I know i am going to have to ask the parents for help

i know how much i need and i have about a quartter of that ....umm with two months left i dont think i will be able to pull that off

My mom told me like 6 months ago that her and my stepfather were talking about giving me a set amount of $$$. I have been kind of relying on it, but they have not brought it up lately...Oh and I wasn't supposed to know, but my mother couldn't keep her big mouth closed. My worst fear is my mom saying "oh sorry, we can't help you" and me freaking on her because she should have never told me about the $$$.

I am a little afraid because I have sent out the invites last week and have not had one single response. My min is 200, and so far the two people who are showing up is me and FH! Only 198 left to make the min.

I am TOTALLY freaking out!!! Everything was fine until i lost my job in April, then I got my unemployment but now months later the company as decided to fight the unemployment so now as of last week i don't get it... I have applied for jobs everywhere... i am so on the fence about just cancelling the wedding but invites went out already.... I am completely freaked about paying for it. all FH says is it will work out.. yeah how?

Funny I read this post today. Couldn't sleep last night for the very same reason. Worried about money. My invites aren't even out yet!!! I'm definately going to meet my minimum so, not worried there. I already counted the guests that will probably not attend and if I'm right I should be ok. I HOPE

I feel the same way that you do Im trying to cut cost but its to crazy right now. and I just got an invite that said seven Peolpe from a family would be attending seven. I want to see them so much at my wedding but were cutting it really thin.

try not to stress. all the yes responses will come first then towards your rsvp date the no's will start coming. how many did you invite and whats your min?

I am kind of, we budgeted for 125 and than spoke with the hall and he budgeted it for us for 140 and at this point we have that so if we came in at that I would be a very happy camper, anything else over and I will start to get hives!!!!

Yes, I am totally stressing about this. I pray because our wedding is Thankgiving weekend, that alot of people (FMIL's list... ) are out of town. its so much $$$$... is that bad?

WE will invite about 210, I am hoping no more than 175 show up?!?!!

I am inviting 220 & we can only fit 180 in the room. Thank god we only guarented 150 so I won't be stuck meeting the requirments.
