i agree you can use the first name of the wives...is this for the placecards? are they at the same table

we had the same thing at our wedding

you can also do philip for the father for the more proper form of the name and phil for the son

They aren't father and son, they are uncle and nephew. That just adds to the confusion!

One is sitting at the 'adult' table, one at the cousin's table.

I didn't put anyone else's wife on the placecards. Does it matter if I just do it for these 2?

I don't think it would matter if you used their wives names on these and no one else's.

Re: Help me distinguish names please

I am going to have a similar situation:
FFIL is Andrew F and Mary Ellen R
FBIL is Andrew A and Marigrace R
Nephew is Andrew A Jr.

That is why I asked if you knew middle initals b/c that's how I am going to handle it

Re: Help me distinguish names please

An associate at the firm I worked at in NY has the same name as the office's managing partner! The associate went by his middle initial (P__ A. G___) while the partner was just first name (P____ G______).

if they each have middle names maybe use middle initial for both? if that doesnt work, do wives names

yeah dont worry, nobody else is going to sit there and pay attention that the way you did the names on their placecard is different than someone elses...and it will be the last thing on your mind that day.

I had to write some different than others for mine for certain reasons.

Re: Help me distinguish names please

We are adding the wives names for a few folks.

Mr. James and Mrs. Theresa T

Mr. James and Mrs. Angela T

They both have the same middle initial and one isn't a junior.
