I didn't tip. When you are going to someone who has her own business, then you don't need to tip because the money is all hers. If you are going to someone that works out of a salon, then you can tip about 15-20% of the price of the trial.

I tipped the lady who did my hair $20.00. I love her and booked her, so I wanted to give her a nice tip.

That's right! Tips are for hairdressers in salons, because the salon gets the money you pay for services, and they get a salary . . . . But if someone is the owner of the service, it's all theirs. Of course, if you have someone bring other girls to work on your BP, for instance, you could tip the others, or flat out ask the owner if the money you pay for extra bodies goes to them or not.

I tipped $20 bucks each...I figured 20%. plus, they spent a lot of time with me and I booked with them. But, I guess I also see the point of they own the business. I figured though that I'd rather tip then feel awkward not knowing if I was doing the 'right' thing.

That's how I feel. If I like them and plan on using them, I'm going to tip them.
