Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

What undergarments are you wearing??

I love the whole corset with the thigh high look but stocking and open toed shoes just doesnt work, i am so upset but I cant even think what my alternative would be, what are you all doing?

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

I have NO idea
I wanted to wear stockings, I'm thinking.......May 31 will be pretty hot, and will I sweat if I don't have the stockings? Or will the stockings make me sweat
I don't know WHAT to do.........
I was thinking how about those super sheer sandletoe seamless stockings? Will those work?

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

Ugh! The stocking issue is such a big thing to my mother. We bought sandles me and she wants me to wear stockings. The sandles are so strappy though that I think you will see the end of the sandletoe stockings. My mother thinks I will be cold without stockings but I never felt that stockings did much to keep me warm. I am most likely going to go without stockings. I share your confusion!

Ha ha Sasha, your Mother is my Sister. She insists I wear stockings. She says it will be hot and my legs will stick together otherwise
But here are my shoes, they are ssooooo open:

LOL Sasha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when is your day?
Edit to say, duuuh I see now it's April
I don't think you will have a problem going bare, it's already starting to get warm by then, and plus our dresses will keep us warm

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

Thanks Liz! That's what I think! I don't think your legs will stick together without stockings! You'll have air conditioning where ever you go. My mom is good though, it just takes her a bit to back down. She wants everything to be perfect for me.

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

I've always heard that brides don't feel the cold. My Aunt got married in weather like this weekend & she said she wasn't cold at all. So Sasha I think you will be fine for April!!

Not to sound like a 'MOM', and I know I have a LOOONNNGGG ways to go but, aren't you worried about getting blisters/cuts on your feet if you don't wear stockings?

Thanks allure
Bribri - I know I won't get blisters, I'm so accustomed to wearing high heels w/no stockings in the summer

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

I wore a corset- detatched the garters for stockings and wore hose. I was sweating my butt off (yes, on January 31st- there's lots of stuff- dress, slip, etc) and I would've gotten 'chub-rub' if I didn't wear them. But- honestly- I don't think 1 person saw my shoes under my dress- so don't worry about it.

Re: Those of you wearing open toes shoes......

Don't forget the oh-so-important girdling aspect of control top hose, ladies.

Maybe it's the Southern in me, but I think pantyhose with open-toed shoes is a big no-no. I also think that since a wedding is a formal occasion and possibly the most dressed up you are ever going to get in your lifetime, hose are appropriate. Bare-legged-ness is simply too informal, hot or not.
I guess what I'm trying to say is go for hose with closed toed shoes! LOL! This is all IMO only and I'm sure you will all look lovely no matter what you decide to do.
