wedding pics help
so I am getting married at St. Lukes in Whitestone queens on a friday and my RH is Russo's in howard beach ... i wanted to take the pictures after the church in Whitestone park where we got engaged but now fh wants to take our e-pics there ... so now where do i take the pics after the church ... i cant go into the city or long island because of friday evening traffic and i looked up online and the only places i seemed to have found was queens botanical gardens which the pics don't look that great... forest park which the only thing i like about it is that its on the way to howard beach from Whitestone and it has a carousel and lastly flushing meadows - corona park which has that big globe and also a carousel but is also very crowded on nice days with weird people.

Re: wedding pics help
Would you consider the brooklyn botanic gardens? Or even the white sand beaches in rockaway?

Hi Dina! Glad to see you popped in!I'd say go with Forest Park. Its only like 15 mins or less away from Russos, considering the limo driver will more than likely be coming off the jackie robinson from whitestone right? Its right there. Theres tons of spots to pick from at Forest Park. I was thinking of doing mine there also.

Re: wedding pics help
Since it would be really convenient to go to Whitestone Park for the wedding day, I would choose something else for the e-pics.I was at Whitestone park not too long ago on a friday night and theres nobody really around so you can get so many pics.
For the e-pics what about Astoris park, you can get the background of the skyline. There;s also the golf course by Caffe on the Green, you would get some pretty shots there.
I'm trying to think of what else there is in Whitestone, Bowne Park on 28th Avenue is small but kinda cute and also Kissena Park in Flushing is huge.
Oh and there's also a small strip, not a park but right on the water right by the Whitestone Bridge on the Malba side, you would be able to do epics there, it's on North Drive in malba.

Re: wedding pics help
I would def try and save Whitestone Park for wedding day (much more convenient to take pics on big day)Maybe for epics you can try any of the following:
Forest Park
Bowne park (pond in center) 154th st and 29ave
Cunningham park (off of Francis lewis blvd)
Astoria park( you get pics of skyline in background)
