For props, parasols are really pretty. Where are you going Jenna? You should go down to Meatpacking because the cobblestone road is so great in photos.

Try calling bridal veil falls in the east village to see if she has one that you can buy from her.

I know I do like parasols too but may not do that bc my sister is going to do it for her pro pics and well just not sure if I want to take her idea.

Anyway we are going a few places on LI!

I had one that I purchased off of etsy but its kinda late for that (i had sold it right after the wedding). I remember ANgel's Bridal in East Islip had them but thy will be pricey just to use as a prop.

Jena just go to the stores on 8/th ave. there's one on crap...39/40tha and 8th? Sposabella bridal? try them. its right by the Port Authority.

I can't help with the birdcage veil. Sorry! but, I have some ideas on props that I think may be helpful depending on what type of look you are going for and the location:

Beach Towel (hopefully there's a wind and you can fly it like a cape in the air)
Beach Ball
Beach Umbrella (in lieu of the parasol)
Shells
Flip Flops
Pashmina

Really cool kick a** shoes

Picnic Basket
