Florist - Opinions & Suggestions Wanted

A friend of mine is getting married this October at the Swan Club. She was just going to book the house florist. Well I had to come on here to get suggestion form you guys b4 I could let her plunk down 2 grand on a florist she knows nothing about. All her other vendors she booked were recommended by friends. So what are you ladies doing and anyone you think is a must see? The House Florist is the Glen Head Flower Shop I checked and they are not a member of the BBB so I dont even know what there performance is like. Any of you heard of them or seen there work? Keep the suggestions flowing...

I've never heard of them. But my florist is wonderful. I'm using Flower Michele. A lot of girls on here are using them and have used them in the past and have been really happy with them.

I am doing Burton's. They give a great price. You don't always have to use recommended people. It is usually cheaper to get a non-recommended person because they don't jack up the price to pay the reception place a commission.

Flower Michele is the best - do a search - you'll see tons of recommendations and great posts about them. John is incredible at designing the perfect arrangements for your day.

I have to agree, Flower Michele , John is very creative, not pushy, i actually wanted some things that he talked me out of and siad it was a waste, i 100% Trust and reccomend him. Good Luck !

My family is in the flower business. My aunt Rose has been doing wedding flowers since I remember. Her name is Rosemarie Torre. She is doing my wedding of course with the help of my mother. My mom used to own a florist until a recent sale. She wanted to retire. Anyways if you are interested in a phone number and address just FM me.

I second Flowers by Rosemarie, I met with her last week and she was really nice, and I have heard nothing but rave reviews about her. THe only problem was that I wanted candelabra's and she did not have any, otherwise I would be using her. But we are goign with Burton's that was recommended to me by a friend.

I'm also getting married at the Swan Club and they recommended Glen Head Flower Shop. I have found nothing about them. I instead booked Milleridge Florist - both Laurie and Christ are absolutely awesome!

I am using Glen Head Florist.....they have been our florist for years (i live near them). They did my sisters wedding 8 years ago. They do beautiful work but are a little expensive.

We used Burtons and were very, very happy. I recommend she sees at least 2 before just picking one out of book.

We are using Sugar Magnolias! Heidi (the owner) is wonderful!! They are a bit expensive, but just amazing!
I visited with Flower Michele too. They are great to go to get ideas and a price comparison! If you are not sure about what you want, definitely see more than one florist!! Good luck!

Burtons or Flower Michele - I am using Burton's. You get a lot for your money and they are willing to work with you. Very reasonable and 2 of my friends used them and were very happy. The flowers in their pictures looked beautiful.
